I like it quite a bit - I'm a big fan of two-tone interiors & deviated stitching, and with the chalk (crayon) exterior I think it'd look really sharp!

Thanks bro! I think I'm just about sold on it. I'll see what the overall consensus is.

P.S. Has anybody seen the seatbelt outlet trims in Race Tex? Any photos?

I find it spices it up nicely. Almost did it on mine.

It's between that and the extended door panel leather that covers the door grab handles, door panel lower trims and rear side lower portions.

If you’re doing the Racetex headliner, you need to add the Racetex sunvisors. The plasticky ones clash quite significantly and they are in your face all the time. I however did not do the seatbelt outlet trims in Racetex as you barely see them.

I did spec the visors as well. Great minds!

Do you have the Race Tex headliner?

Yes, it’s standard on the turbo. I love the looks and feel of it.

Yes, deviated interiors look fantastic, much better than black.

I added the extended door trim and leather door sills with deviated Chalk stitching. I removed the deviated leather centers. I'm trying to keep my build sub-$145k before discount. This thing just keeps increasing in price.

Any advice on gloss black window trim versus the standard trim? I'm so used to the gloss black trim on my M4 and I keep going back & forth, especially considering I'm going with gloss black wheels over the RS Spyders.

Current final builds with 22 days to go before lock:

PNX74198: gloss black Carrera S wheels and black badging.

PNFWBQH8: Carrera Classics and stock badging.

….both with the exact same interiors.

The Race Tex HL and visors are absolutely worth it b/c the visors are touch-points. Kind of completes the interior. Have it in my gt4.

Is the 145k a "physological" figure or is it mandatory for your financing? With deviated seat centers, you're at 145,090 and with gloss trim as well, that's 145,600 so still in the 145s.

Dunno how scuffed up the leather door sills will get... I always bang my foot on them when I get into my car. I'd be wary of that

+1 on the race tex HL and visors. $145k at that point most would be looking at new GTS. But allocations are probably non existent and build dates pushed well into 2022.

See my point of us being more valuable to BP than this site is to us? With BP I can still enjoy and own cars. With us BP becomes looses itself

Regarding the gloss black window trim, I guess it really depends on the entire configuration of the car. In my case, I also tried to budget my build as much as possible. The exterior theme I went for is Silver exterior with matte black trims and chrome and red accents. I went for a contrasting interior in black with silver highlights.

Since my car comes stock with a fair bit of matte black trim (front splitter, front air intakes, mirror pillars, lower side sills, rear fender intakes, rear bumper air outlets, lower bumper exhaust surround and side glass trim plus the CF roof that is more matte than gloss). Going with gloss black would have meant a lot of added expenditure. Further, since I track my car a fair bit, i figured the matte black trims, particularly on the lower body, would be less prone to visible damage. I have to add that the matte side window trim look very good and not cheap at all, in my case it complements the overall look of the car very well.

I personally prefer your second options since I've never been a fan of all black wheels, especially gloss black ones. Further, in your case, since you are going with the ED clear taillights, I would opt for the black calipers since there are no other red highlights on your car (except for the rear reflectors that you should either tint or body colour) for a cleaner look: PNGN4LC2.

The videos of my delivery gives a good overall view of the car:

GT silver!! It’s amazing how the hips grow wider with each gen 911 turbo. How do you like the paddle shift speed on the downshift relative to the CS.

The PDK is amazing with crisp downshifts. But the DCT on the M4cs was excellent too, I had nothing to complain about .

My student at the last HPDE I attended had a G80. While I did not drive the car, I still did 5 sessions on the passenger seat, and I can attest that the 8AT is definitely not as crisp nor engaging as the DCT. There's a let down in acceleration with each upshift and slight lag on downshift with imperfect rev matching (you can feel the wheels upping the engine revs when the planetary clutches engage).

Great color choice, Ametrin looks very elegant on the X5.
