recommended procedure for adaptation?

I suspect there are as varied theories on adaptation procedures as there are on engine break-in. I have a BMS Stg 1 coming and I would like to do a proper adaptation procedure to avoid throwing codes.

Specific directions appreciated

Terry states that no adaption is necessary.

Heard of multiple instances where you will get a drivetrain code upon connection and first startup. Make sure and plug everything in with battery disconnected including wire taps - not that this will necessarily prevent the error. If you get a code, save it, and then delete it.
