Awesome. Some of my favorite reds are these darker deeper maroons.

This will be absolutely killer, especially with black and CF accents.

To each their own.
I think BMW offers amazing colors as standard. Not so much the individuals offered like Moonstone, Tanzite and that brown..eeekkkk. $5000 for any color BMW has ever made and $7500 or so for what ever you lust for.

IMHO, 'Way too Much' is relative to ones income, but paying an extra 10% (based on MSRP of $75,000) seems reasonable for a truly individual color.

I love that BMW offers this to customers.

I find a sense of creativity behind how I select my cars and alter/modify them. I fell in love with Rosso Fiorano the moment I saw it and I think it'll complement the sharp lines on the M4, casting shadows as the angles break and highlighting the hood bulge and hips, ect.
Yes thanks for the build info ! Very informative thread. Certainly gives some of us ideas on what to do with our Individual exterior colors.

Did you consider Rosso Mars as an alternative color?

Yes it is certainly a premium over the "regular" individual options and I had a "are you serious?" moment but considering all the research and testing that has to be done and the individual attention given, its worth every penny and some.

I agree. Compare the costs of custom items offered by Mclaren, Lamborghini, Ferrari, its about the same percentage.

IMO BMW offering this program and the way they handle it just elevates the brand above the competition (with all else considered)

Thank you. I requested a swatch of the paint from AG. Communication with R&D take a few days at a time, as there are 2 people between myself and the person handling the paint process. Ill post a picture of the swatch when received.

Hmm.. You were able to submit a custom (not from the Individual "light" menu) BMW Individual Interior order ? I was told these were not yet available and wouldn't be available until late model year 2015 (spring next year). Did your dealer take care of making the calls to get this done or did you do your own legwork, because I have the exact same intentions but have been told they are unavailable until Spring on the M4.

Trying to get mine in McLaren Volcano Red but the going is not easy.

Correct. Individual interiors are not available till spring of next year. My dealer has had all contact so far with AG.

But they still let you submit to order, presumably so that it can go into production immediately when the pipelines become available? Of more interest to me is the full color customization that you have apparently had success with... I will pursue a couple of my own avenues become I come asking for help on how you successfully managed this :P

Please remember that only my exterior is color to sample. My interior intent was material selection. Black Alcantera to be specific and yes everything gets ordered and sorted till the interior is ready in the Spring. If you're looking for a unique interior color, Individual will work with you and your selected dealer to make almost anything happen. It only requires patience and cash, lol. If I were you I'd get in touch with a dealer that has experience with the individual program.

Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions or hurdles along the process!

-Tim

Congratulations on a great build!

Out of curiosity, what were you quoted for the interior alcantera option?
