Yes, it's likely going to be more about the ppk wheels than the power bump. How pretty and wide will they be vs the non ppk.

Did they change the term Comp Pack to PPK and I missed it?

This thread is going to explode. @Dinan, what if the nearest install center is 2500 miles away?

No sorry if I misunderstood. I assumed it was the comp. pack that was discussed. Haven't heard of a power pack for the F8X.

According to many you can get that at the flywheel with test pipes right?

Actually says 42hp gain I believe.

This thread is a hot topic. If someone is 2500 miles from an install center, they have a long drive ahead of them.

Actually, it says neither. It's marketed as a gain of 91hp and 83tq. There's no doubt about that. Once you start looking at the graph you immediately notice something isn't right. I've never seen a performance upgrade marketed in such a way that you have to examine the dyno chart to see how much power "it's really making". And I'm sorry, for $2,500 a peak gain of 42 crank hp simply isn't worth the price of admission given what we've seen the JB4 pump out.

Yeah, this. My F82 will just spin its wheels in first and while shifting into 2nd. more power won't make much of a difference at legal speeds.

Also, what happens with launch control when you make more power? does it adjust or will it be useless?

Dinan has a top-notch facility with two state of the art dyno's.
Last time I spoke with Steve Dinan he mentioned he was developing this piggyback unit and mentioned he would run it on the engine Dyno.

In our thread, we discussed Dinan's Dyno capabilities. Dinan has engine Dyno and Dynapack Dyno.

Which dynos he uses aside...

Maybe I miss read. OP's post 14 claims max of 42hp at 6k.

I happen to be in an M4 2 weekends ago equipped with a beta jb4, it had a nice bump up in performance so you won't go wrong, and surely it will be much cheaper, but no warranty which I think is the big appeal to most here who are willing to pay for it.

Hobbination,
We do provide all of the install instructions and could pre-install the software for you if there isn't a dealer in your area. Give us a call and ask for Jeff Rosen, or email him at jeff.rosen@dinancars.com. 800.341.5480

Best thing is, as it precedes the ECU, BMW flashes will have no effects on the Dinan. So no more reflashes every time bmw tinkers under the hood.

Easily Done. A tune, X-Pipe and Pulleys will net you over 42hp.

I'll wait for more real world dynos/reviews comparing stock vs ecu, if I set everything to sport+ and floor it my car will show 480hp so it could be possible that this tube only gives 42hp.

Will there be any maps to increase fuel economy? That's one of the things I like about the JB4
