M4CS will 18 inch 8.5 wide wheels on all 4 corners be ok?

Hey everyone, can anyone tell me if this winter setup will be ok for an M4CS?

18" x 8.5" wide wheels wrapped with 255/40/18 Pilot Alpins PA4 tires

I guess what I'm really wondering is if the 35 offset will be ok for the rear

Thanks in advance

I have the 640M wheel package on my car. They are 8.5" and 9.0" wide front and rear respectively. You just need to ensure that the wheel barrels are big enough to fit over the front calipers, not all 18" wheels are created equal .

So, you now got an M4cs too ???

Thanks Nik I will make sure they do a test fitment of the wheels beforehand. Yes I'm picking up a LRG on Tuesday or Wednesday depending on the weather. Super excited although a little nervous about going from a 6MT 4 door to a 2 door DCT.

Congrats . You'll love it, it's one special machine. I can't wait to see it side-by-side with mine. We'll have a great trio with Jerry !

BTW, I don't believe the PA4 exists in 255/40R18... closest is 245/40R18. I have the Continental ContiWinterContact™ TS-830-P on my car, which is the winter BMW star spec for the M3/4.

Thank you, looking forward to getting it we will definitely need to line up all three at the track for a picture. Still not sure if I want to do a 3yr or 4yr lease, need to decide by Wednesday Since you've had this car for over a year do you think 3 yrs is enough to enjoy it then get into a G80/82?

You are right the PA4 aren't available, the older PA2 are. Ultimately I am going with the new Toyo Observes 6 which are very well reviewed. The challenge will be driving the M3 to Sherbrooke and the M4 back from Sherbrooke in this miserable weather on summers. Winter kit will only be ready on Saturday for the M4.

Hey,

M3CS owner here. I'm throwing these on in a day or two. Picked them up from Craiglists for $600 from a former F82 owner that sold the car. Used for one season.

Wheels are 18x8.5 square, 30MM offset.

Which wheels do you have?

Ugh just got my winters put back on. Oh how I forgot how bad they feel and how loud they are. car walks at 60 now at WOT

If you guys are putting 255's on the rear you must not like to push the car at all.

No choice here, the weather is so awful that anything wider becomes a problem. I too hate winter tires however not nearly as much as the utter disgust and loathing I have for winter.

Revisiting a long dead thread - how is it driving around in MTL winters in a M4?

I believe you were on Toyos - but I'm going to be first winter in one and have the BMW Contiwinters Tire package - not sure how it will be so love to see how it is for you as I do the track up there quite often too.
