Who owns a tacoma as a second car?

Hey Guys !!

I just leased a 21’ Tacoma TRD Off Road as a new daily. I keep my 18’ F82 as a weekend fun car. I was curious who else here owns a tacoma as a second car.

Tacos have some sort of unicorn status when it comes to resale. This would be a good secondary vehicle to own. Normally, these trucks barely lose any value for the first 5 years, but due to the unforseen market today, they're going for MSRP or even more.

I wish we could say the same about the F80s

I have a 2007 Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4 as my second car. It has 203K miles and it runs like a brand new truck. These things simply are bulletproof.

My DD is not a Taco, but just as worthy IMHO 2010 Xterra OffRoad 6MT. 128k miles since new and has been absolutely solid.

Cheap because high residual. Tacoma's and Tundras are the best kept value secret in auto industry. Same with 4 runner. Important to spec it right - 4wd, low options is where the long term value hides.

I could probably sell my 4th gen 4runner for more than I paid 4 years ago but I love the thing too much to sell it.

I'm seeing Tacos with more mileage and in similar condition to mine going for almost $20K here locally (California). It's like the perfect storm in terms of resale value right now...but I don't think I'll ever sell it. It's the one absolutely reliable vehicle that I own.

Great vehicle and rock solid! Have owned many Toyotas. This is the limited version with full time AWD. My only gripes would be driving it immediately after driving the M3 and tech is a bit limited.

Yes. The market these days is insane. There are no rebates on Tacos MSRP. I was able to least 2021 TRD off road with zero down at 400/month including tax, tags etc (36 months/10K miles a year).
