Silverstone is a color that I think M will never get rid of. I've had two Ms in this color. One of the best.

I am going to do some more research on this color to see if it can surpass black sapphire. Color is definitely unique but it doesn't seem too sporty.

I like BS but it covers up a lot of the unique details on these cars including the carbon roof- a lot of the vents and bumper design just disappear with black as well. That's the only reason I'm not going BS.

Most pictures I find on the Internet don't show SSII well. It looks good in person, if you happen to run into one. Picture below is one of the best ones to show SSII on E92. I hope it will look just as good on F8x.

Garage List
I have my M4 ordered at my dealership (1st one to come in and is coded as a launch car) and I ordered Silverstone with a black interior. I saw it in person at the DC auto show and it looks great. It has a lot of depth and I think it is a great color. Not only does it look good, but it will be easy to maintain. My E92 M3 was LMB and was a great color, but hard to maintain.

This color needs a carbon roof and will look amazing.

This color looked great on Mdosu's E90, and then he told me he had an X1 individual in SSII on order.

Yes, the new F8x in SSII is going to look great with those carbon fiber M Performance parts.

Does this color tend to take on a bit of light blue hue to it? I think I've seen it on other M cars and not liked that, but maybe it wasn't "SSII".

Yes and some light green hues too depending on the light.

I wish SSII was as close to silver as in the pictures. In real life and outdoors it has a much more distinctive baby blue tone.

That's my color combo. And I think I will switch back to the grey wheels now that I have seen it in real life and on the new USA configurator.
