Side view camera malfunction

How can i tell if corrosion has set into the loom without cutting it apart? There is no corrosion on the pins and if i unplug the camera and plug it back in it works fine until i turn the camera off and try and put it on again.

In relation to this, I'm getting a voltage too high error in Ista+

The pins are fine and no sign of corrosion. Does this sound like corrosion in the loom, and if so can i repair it rather than replace the loom?

I'm wondering if this is interfering with my RDC signal and causing my RDC malfunction error, as both happened at exactly the same time.

Warranty is long gone. But i have a bit of technical knowledge

So the camera works after disconnecting the battery, possibly down to corrosion in the wire where its taking 5-10 seconds for the system to realise the voltages are not correct and shut down the camera?

Hopefully going to order the repair cable and test that with my current camera.
