Perhaps you can find a fault in these?
I have no idea. As I wrote, I have never retrofitted Camera before.

Hi Shawn,

i found the problem. It was a faulty module. The TRSVC pops up now in Esys but has ofcourse no CAFD. When i want to select the right CAFD it doesn't show the one i need but only newer. See pictures.
If i select one of these the TRSVC and HU-NBT ECU turns red so i stopped and didn't code it to the car.
Is this normal and should i code it or should i find the right CAFD and where do i find it?

Grtzz,

Stefan

Yess,

it's loaded but i still have no view from the camera. Only a black screen in the middle with the buttons greyed out on the left site and the PDC on the right. Pffff still must have missed something….

Anybody?

Shawn,
could it be a problem that we coded the TRSVC with the F020-17-11-520 CAFD instead of the F020-15-03-504 which is standing in I-step (current)?

CAFD itself is not a problem. If it were not compatable with the ECU's current firmware, it would not allow you to inject and Encode it to begin with.

Now, you can have good CAFD but bad Coding.

Hi all,

First of all thank you for your activity, I'm learning a lot with your messages and support!
shawnsheridan I googled my problem and I have seen that you are an expert in Esys... I described you my problem. Coding with bmwaicoder my HU NBT EVO 2, writing fail and then I lost CAFD in the ECU, I tried to restore CAFD with esys also writting it fails. Is there something more to do with esys or I need to reflash the NBT? Thanks in advance!

You need to re-flash it.

Problemwith FEM_BODY

Hi everyone,

trying to code the FEM_BODY I always get the error
CAFD_00000794_018_070_004 Fehler:
File for "cafd_00000794-018_070_004" not found! [C012]

I then read the I-Steps and got this:

I-Step (current): F020-19-11-530
I-Step (last): F020-17-11-540
I-Step (shipment): F020-13-11-504

I dont know what to do next to fix this problem.

I had the EGR cooler replaced 2 months ago, and also in the BMW dealer they told me that they had upgraded the system. Could this has something to do with this error?
I am using Esys 3.28.1 and PSdZData_Lite_v4.17.20 with the Esys launcher Pro 2.8.2.

I was able to code the IDrive Logo but I can not access to FEM_BODY nor to KOMBI.

Any help would be very welcome!

Thanks in advance

Thanks again Shawnsheridan, with this psdzdata everything worked as expected and I was able to code the FEM_BODY and the KOMBI folders.
I have to mention that the psdzdata gave me an error during the extraction of the rar file.
I downloaded it three times and it always gave me the same error, but the extraction continued and the psdzdata folder created worked well as I mentioned above.

Cheers

You should not have any extraction error if using latest version of 7-Zip or WinRAR.

Shawn: I ready thru this thread. Thank you for the tremendous help to the communitys.

I'm new to E-Sys coding and I want to make sure I have the proper pieces of software and do the installation properly. Just did the shadowline LCI taillight retrofit on my 2016 F83 and need to code. I sent you a PM. Hopefully you can help.
