interior ambient light

Looks like I need to give these a try, myself. Just ordered the Amazon set (LINK). They'll be here Friday, along with the Rennline phone mount that I ordered from Kies Motorsports.

I'm excited for these nice little interior upgrades.

I installed the silicone version last night... not a straight forward install. It was a pain and I'm not 100% satisfied with the fit. It's nearly impossible to tuck in evenly and the bend at the end of the door does not sit right.

On a positive note the seller issued a refund.

I will be ordering the plastic AmbientModz version today.

the default amber lighting on full sakhir is breathtaking. i wonder if increasing it will throw it off

It definitely enhances... I hope the plastic are as bright as the silicone. Minus the fitment

if i'm completely blind how did I even assess the original lighting or better yet how do I drive?

it seems the strip makes it a solid beam of light instead of shadowing(OEM) but most pics here are shitty. the solid strip(beam) makes it look JDM to me just like the newer BMWs. but I will be a buyer and test it out. always wished the lights were just 20-30% brighter

I actually looked at the back seats when I was attempting to install the silicone version. The back doesn't appear to have anywhere to tuck in the strip.

Just FYI I recently bought these on amazon and they never came even though UPS shows it as delivered.

I contacted the seller and simply asked for help with a replacement and resolving it with UPS and his response was "Sorry but my obligation is only to ship on time and to provide proof of delivery. I have met my obligation for this, if the package was stolen from your porch that is a matter for the police and your insurance company."

UPS makes mistakes and I get it, but it's an extraordinarily lazy response from a vendor. I'd suggest you do not buy from him lest your $60 vanishes into thin air too.

Hey F30/F80 owners, are the brightness on the front door and back door the same after installing these?

I noticed my rear doors illuminate about twice as bright compared to my front doors...normal?
