I had this happen once in a different car. Smelled absolutely horrendous. I mean so bad the detail guy was gagging.

A good detail shop will be able to completely get rid of it, you'd be surprised. The sooner you get it in the better. Don't go cheap, get the best interior deep cleaning they can do.

You're fucked, best way to remove sour milk smell is with something more potent like tuna.

All jokes aside carpet shampoo, will be brand new. Divorce lawyers and divorce in general cost a fortune, you'd be better off buying a new car. Upgrading to a new model costs either way.

For strong odors like that, some detailers may need to use an ozone generator.

Have you tried something like Simple Solution ? Supposed to help with pet odors by attacking proteins.

How about using a carpet cleaner?

Park in on the side of the road. Leave the keys and the title with it.

Try putting a generous amount of baking soda
Rub it into the area leave it for a day then vacuum it up
Do it a few times

A diaper full of cr@p will take your mind off the smell of rotten milk in the carpet. I know from experience. LOL.

I found my self in a similar situation except it was the fault of my aggressive driving and it was in my trunk. I pulled out everything, pressure washed, soap & scrub, pressure wash, sprinkled with baking soda, left it outside for a couple months, hung deodorizers in the meantime.

Got rid of all the smell!

Try using Dakota Fab Foam. Works wonders on organic type odors in carpeting.

My mom got milk on the passenger seat (fabric) of her Toyota Matrix, when her groceries had a leaky milk jug in the bag. I tried cleaning it myself but the stink was staying. We took it to a proper detail shop and they used a hot water extractor and completely removed any evidence that it happened. Go see the pro’s, they will make it good as new.
