Maintenance and work spreadsheet/software

Hello All!

I searched the forums and couldn't find what I was looking for.

I started doing my own maintenance after the warranty ran out. So far have done break pads, air filter, new expansion tank, spark plugs, and oil change.

Question how do you guys keep track of the maintenance you are doing, schedule, prices etc. Looking for a spreadsheet or software thats free instead of my hand writing in a folder.

Carfax has a a free online maintenance tracker. It even connects to shops/dealers and automatically populates the maintenance history. It will also alert you to recalls and send maintenance reminders.

Just wondering, first ever M3, major service due soon and no service pack, is it best to keep up with the delear history for car value or doesn't it really matter as long as I keep the paper work?

My old 535d I did myself.

As long as you keep records of materials and work performed I think the value is the same. Just make sure to not end up with any "extra parts" at the end lol
