Look at the buyer's post history -- it looks like he has done a couple transactions with other members with no problems. An agreement is useless until $$ is received but OP still sent the item.

Anyway -- I agree it's overall an dishonest act on the buyer's end, but the fault is OP's IMO

the fault is with the scammer. Verbal/written agreement happened and then one decided to break that agreement/contract. Would I have waited for payment? Sure - that doesn't make this situation his "fault".

I don't agree with what the OP did, and he will certainly learn from this mishap. Absolutely sucks that his kindness went abused but you live and you learn right?
