2018 F80 m3

Need some help. Bought carplay from a guy on the facebook page. He sent me a file, plugged it into the USB port of the car and CarPlay was enabled. The purchase CarPlay button disappeared on the idrive connected store.

I was using bimmercode and the only function that I was not able to use was the "Headunit" function. I contacted Bimmercode and they told me that it was because of the usb CarPlay.

I also just updated my idrive software and CarPlay is now gone. The purchase CarPlay option for $300 is still not showing up on the Idrive store. \ Bimmercode is still giving the error on the app.

The guy I bought CarPlay from said I have to code CarPlay out. Anyone know how to do this.

Did you updated your software? Or dealer flashed your car?

Neither. He did only a Bluetooth Update. Issue was solved by reinstalling his CarPlay solution.

I have a 2018 M3 that already has carplay activated (via a .bin) but looking to enable fullscreen. Is it possible via USB or do I need to have the idrive flashed and buy an enet cable?

So long as firmware has not been updated since you last ran .bin, you can still use .bin for Full Screen.

Depends on firmware version.
Only NBTEvo_O and NBTEvo_N are .BIN Fullscreen Capable.

I recommend using kubax86 service for getting Apple Carplay.
Fast and reliable. He provided activation for my M2.

For Netflix activation third party App on iPhone would be required and that would require jailbreaking your iPhone.
