Coding F80: What worked and what didn't for me

you are fantastic!

btw, that mac issue that I was having was resolved when I upgraded to Mavericks and Fusion 7.10, so VM coding is still possible for mac users.

I have a question on the following:

Which line is for the sunroof? My car has the CF roof so I want to make sure i don't activate the sunroof.

Also, the three modules on 3110 for me show not active. When I change t werte=01, do I also have to change them to active? Thx for the help!

Figured this might be the best thread for this. I bought my car used with the coding already done. I've gone in and check most of the lines and changed some as well but I'm not entirely sure what was changed before I bought the car. My passenger airbag light on the overhead console stays illuminated even when there's nothing or anybody in the passenger seat. It goes away when I have a passenger, but it's there whenever there's not. I thought the light only illuminates if there is weight on the seat but it doesn't exceed the airbag equipping limit. Any idea which line of code may affect this?

Sunroof is not separate. Convenience Opening and Closing from the Fob or via Comfort Access covers Side Mirrors, Windows, and Sun Roof altogether. So, do not worry about Sun Roof.

You do not change Werte Values directly for these FDL Codes except for KOMFORT_SCHLIESSEN. All the other ones you change only the Dropdown Box predefined value to aktiv, and let it change the Werte Value for you.

The only time you will ever change a Werte Value directly is when the Dropdown Box predefined value does not offer a choice / value you want, in which case you then edit Werte Value directly to create a Custom value.

The light is lit when the passenger Airbag is disabled. It only goes out when there is enough weight on the passenger seat to activate the Airbag.

Does anybody know the frontal collision disable code off hand? I don't think the F30's had it and it doesn't seem like the F10's have found it? It's a button on the left side but it doesn't seem to save the setting.

If you haven't seen it, its a giant red car icon in your HUD.. not needed for what I was doing at the time.

Can't this be set in iDrive? I know there are some sensitivity settings in there, but not sure if it can be switched off or not. You can hit the button to switch it off though. Again, not sure if it remembers the settings or not, or if it defaults to an on position.

So I set the the HUD_SPORTANZEIGE_MS_GASSE_ENABLE to aktiv and got an additional check box in the HUD display options. It reads "with selector lever is S" so I though this would do what I wanted it to do which is switch to the M view when I went into S or manual mode. Sadly, it does not. Close though.

You can indeed set far/medium/close in iDrive but not off. button always defaults to on.. I tried dumping all of the text from the ncd files and translating german to english but couldn't find anything similar to frontal or collision.

It triggers when people change lanes in front of me as well, too close but not something that I need to see a bright red car icon for at night. The close setting is something around 5 feet, there isn't much you can do at freeway speeds anyway.

Our cars don't seem to have the adaptive collision intrusion though right? the 5 series seems to have an option where it increases the brake booster so the first pedal tap is basically full to the floor for 30% of total speed which seems extreme most of the time.

I want to know the same thing, I want to be able to type out a response. Right now it's not really useful.
