Same here. Mid year 16 I could handle but into 2017 is just taking the piss.

This is what was said to us which I think is a reliable source (BMW Australia).... My brother back home in Germany is also waiting to get his hands on one and the Munich factory is also telling everyone of a 12 Dec 2016 release over there.
Because of this we made the decision to buy a Peugeot 208 GTI to use as a run around car until the M2 get here. 1.5 years wait is a bit over the top and I didn't wanna use my M4 as a daily car

Everything including the stage of "undress" on the test mules point to it being a production car fairly soon. So I'm sticking to 2nd quarter 16 for it to land in Australia.
