Yes you need them. They keep the lip firm in a horizontal position and they also attach the rear to the bumper.

Was enough force to bend the light weight lip. I'd go with another for sure and body coloured to match. |

So there's the big one in the middle, then 2 on either side. My lightweight lip is held in by one on either side and the main big supporting piece, so 3 total vs 5(not counting the support on left and right corners where it's drilled into the bumper)

Im getting tired of scraping around and heavily considering this one for the durability and look, but all the tiny supporting spacers throw me off and would love to just use the big one in the middle... Also I hear theres a V2? Do you know the differences? |

My main thing is the different versions. Someone is selling one and it looks like it has a contoured shape towards the front. So I really want to know the difference cause id rather get the forum sold than retail if I were: Yours looks like the curvature is one solid cut you know? I'm confused |

I have ripped off my lightweight off my car once in San Francisco. Ripped all the plastic and everything out but the lip is in tip top shape still. I ended up going with RF Carbon for a new lip but if that breaks I’ll go back to lightweight.

I hit a bit of dead kangaroo laying on the road and cracked my CS spoiler half, but it didn't budge from the brackets and bumper. I repaired it with carbon fibre resin and had it re-clear coated and there slight line in the weave where the crack was repaired but still looks ok.
You can always repair a CS spoiler and paint it body colour or black if the carbon weave's too badly damaged. Here's the spoiler repaired. |

In NJ, they are not Potholes, but craters.. if your lucky you won't get a flat or bust up your wheels or suspension. The crater are wide from weather, bad fix jobs by utility companies..etc.. no way to avoid for there crappy roads we have.

Running the MP front lip in plastic. The extra brace it comes with makes a world of difference for the mounting. You have to really make an impact to create some damage.
