F82 Shadowline Tail Lights

My stock drip rails fit flush with the new taillights. The coding as discussed above also worked perfectly!
Sorry the images aren't great, took them in my garage after I finished installing. Took about 1:15 for install and maybe 10-15 minutes to code in Bimmercode.

Successful installation of LCI lights and harness. List of codes also worked through BimmerCode.
Lights left Germany one day after order was placed arrived on doorstep five days later. Very pleased!

Note*. Uwe included the drip rails as well, great communication.

Have you got any pictures in the daylight? I have a sapphire black M4 and thinking of fitting these too

It's dark here now due to a storm. Here's a couple lighted from the garage. I'll take a couple more tomorrow.

Anyone noticing condensation buildup in the inner pieces after rains?

Thinking I gotta open everything back up tighten screws even more.
I also noticed water going underneath the drip rales. True for anyone else?

Got my lights and harness within a week of ordering. I'm coming from 2016 pre-LCI tails so this was a nice upgrade. Coded via bimmercode as previously mentioned. New drip rails were not required.

Been enjoying my new-to-me 2016 F83 and I'm itching to update my pre-LCI taillights.

Question: is the Shadowline style taillamps now available the same as the "darkened" taillamps that will be standard on the 2020 model year M4? If not, are the stock 2020 model year taillights darker than the shadowline taillights?

Yes, shadowline lights are now standard equipment on new cars

the reason why i'm asking is:
since i changed from pre-lci taillights to the m4 blackline taillights the trunk lid doesn't automatically open anymore. i unlock it but the lid stays down.

I didn't notice any change in how the trunk opens after LCI install - but I had also already moved the trunk springs up 1 notch when I installed my rear spoiler.

After the spoiler install the trunk would no longer open all the way due to added weight - just move up the springs 1 notch and it will open as usual

Weight of the LCI did not feel any different in my hands - are you sure the trunk lights are installed all the way in towards the center of the trunk & not slightly catching on the outers?
