Michelin PSS's & Michelin 4S's

Quick consult...

I'm only asking because of sizing and local availability.

Could I use:

* Michelin Pilot Super Sports -> 265/35/19's - Up Front
&
* Michelin Pilot Sport 4S's ----> 285/35/19's - For the Rear?

I know it's not ideal!

What are the "Con's" here??

Fitment is not an issue. Different compounds.

Cheers!

Here's the thing:

I'm overseas and everything (imported) here is twice as expensive here , if not (Size/Volume) more.

Plus, finding tires, in our relatively giant sizes, is very difficult.

I'm currently being offered New M-PSS's by a local vendor for much less than what they would cost
me ("Tire Rack") in the US! (And, this is not even taking into consideration what it would cost me to
ship/import these!) = @ About US$215.00 each!!

The problem is that, they only have (265/35...) the 2 - The Fronts.

The rears ("M-PSS's") used to be available (285/35...) in that size but, it seems that they've been
discontinued. Now, this size is only available (in the US) in "M-4S's"

So...

A.) Do I get the 2 M-PSS's - Fronts only or
B.) Do I pass up this Deal and have to get, at a much higher price (import), all four (265 & 285)
corners in "4S's"??

Cheers!

[Edit:] I don't have access to Conti's, in my size ranges, here - in the Third World.

The premise of this whole site is dedicated to, "First World problems"!

Thanks!

unless you are tracking the car or putting it close to its limits, i wouldnt worry about mixing as long as they match on the same axle.

So,

* Michelin Pilot Super Sports -> 265/35/19's - Up Front
&
* Michelin Pilot Sport 4S's ----> 285/35/19's - For the Rear?

Would be all right and Wouldn't be that much of an issue?

i had the same exact situation with me. I have Super sports in the front and Pilot 4'S in the back. I spoke to the local BMW dealership and they said it is totally fine.
