V1 G2, Uniden R7 are the two "best" detectors on the market IMO. The Redline 360c is good too but If your spending that kind of money ($750) I would wait a few months until Randenso Theia comes out. Supposed to be immune to any false alerts, literally zero falses from anything. In this day and age every car has blind spot and lane departure systems emitting radar and every detector out there will false here and there.
As far as me, I have two Uniden R7s, I owned a V1, R3, tons of Escorts and haven't ran without a detector for 10+ years. Deffinitly worth the money! |

Yes, yes, and yes. I can't wait until Thiea comes out so I can have a false free detector! V1 G2 and R7 currently are the best in the business IMO.

I’ve been toying with the idea of getting another just to see how they’ve improved...maybe it’s time to jump back onto RDF. |

I had all of those detectors as well besides the redline, the new ones today are all the same really. Just more features with better range |

Was running Uniden R7 but now the V1 gen 2 - they equivalent for Ka and V1 gen 2 WAY better at filtering K falses now, even compared to the R7. I will occasionally use V1 Driver app on my phone but for long road trips I use JBV1 app on android which gets all of Waze data raw and reports it all up to 2 miles out before it pops up on Waze...plus keeps historic data of all police sightings that is adjustable from hours to months so when in strange areas easy to see where the common speed traps are located.
Just an FYI...if you have a touchscreen (late 2017? Onward?) the R7 won't false to laser from it but the V1 gen 2 will...did the electric tape trick and no longer a problem...Not sure the R7 will alert in a laser situation though, that thing never went off in 2 years... Can't go wrong with either R7 or V1 Gen 2...

So they essentially have the same benefits, as one is not superior in results, other than dealing Waze's ads, to avoid paying Escort Live $4.99 a month, for the benefit. |

For me it's driving responsibly with the aide of the V-1. I do a lot of road trips and drive at night. The V-1 is stellar. The arrows at night and radar count are invaluable. Hardwired and connected to power on and off with the car. At this point it's like the seeing the dash light up it's just part of the car |

Even if it saves you one time I think it makes it worth it. Where I'm from if I get a ticket I would pay minimally $500 in ticket and court fees.

Is it true? I've been tagged with laser before, when you hear the blasting it's already too late.. I just moved to bay area and I'm not sure if CHP uses laser more around here. If so, you might just saved me couple hundred bucks..
