Amen! My parents (first generation) were just over for dinner tonight explaining to my kids that they came to the states for college and had to attend classes in their third learned language (English). I think their first mortgage was something like 8-10%! They paved the way for us for sure.

There was one sold in 2016 with 400k miles that still had the original trans and motor. Decently fast, I'd say the equivalent of a 2016 mustang 5.0 with a few bolt ons. Really good 15 in. brembo brakes, 5/10 steering feel, not bad handling, and absolute horrible ride quality. My M3 is lowered quite a bit on KW HAS kit and it still rides 10x better than that car. The exhaust note when you put an aftermarket exhaust on it was insane, very exotic like (look up vids of the rr-racing bazooka exhaust). Trans wasn't bad, the up and downshifts were crisp and responsive. But if you tried to double downshift or double upshift the trans would get confused and take like 10 seconds to finish the second downshift/upshift. I abused the living hell out of that car every single day in the 120 degree AZ heat and it never had a single problem. When I tell you that thing was bulletproof, I truly mean BULLETPROOF. I tapped the limiter on like every shift because it would give a nice V8 backfire and apparently that's how you get the best 1/4 mile times since the powerband just keeps climbing all the way to the limiter. Tuners raised the limiter nearly 1000 rpm because there was so much left on the table with the stock tune. If you guys are frustrated with new BMW's not being able to have their ECU's cracked, it took 9 YEARS for someone to finally crack that thing... I miss being able to beat on that thing every single day with full confidence knowing nothing will ever break because we all know you can't do that in a BMW lol. My favorite part of that car was how nobody knew what it was so I would always get people stopping me confused as hell thinking I cammed or V8 swapped an IS250. It was hilarious beating mustangs, Camaros, and chargers and then watching them pull up shocked that they lost to a Lexus. Oh yeah and that car never had a SINGLE rattle even with 120k miles, a super loud droney exhaust, and horrible jarring suspension. The build quality was fantastic! Its nowhere near the fastest or best handling car out there but thats what made it perfect for little old irresponsible 19-23 year old me. So much respect for that car and Toyota, that thing owes me nothing and it could easily take 500k miles of abuse.

Sorry for the long post, that car will just always have a special place in my heart
Sorry for the LATE reply! : )

That’s exactly what I’ve heard before about this vehicle. I always wanted one and searched for one before getting my f80, but they just aged a bit too much for what I was looking for. Great vehicle though. When Toyota goes all in they make some pretty special vehicles.

Side note...there’s a guy I see in my county ALL THE TIME that is running a black G430 that I believe has a turbo on it as it’s got an inter cooler poking out from the front bumper, and that dude runs the shit out of that car. I mean every time I see him he’s flooring it and his exhaust sounds amazing. This has been going on for like 4-5 years now. We’re always going the opposite direction of each other otherwise I’d flag him down to give him props for such a unique ride.

Man I love Toyota : )

It seems the M3 is a young mans car. Definitely notice I'm on the higher end of the demographics.

With that said, I'm 50. Bought my first M car at 30 E36 M3. Followed by an E46 M3, E60 M5, E39 M5, F83 and now an F80 6MT. Had quite a few other non M cars too. Love the M cars. I keep coming back in part because of the manual transmission.

24 here, coming from originally a 2011 C300 4MATIC, then a 2014 Range Rover Sport supercharged pushing 605 hp with a tune.

M4 is by far my favorite car so far!

Lots of cool shit in between! ( STi, Evo, s2000, etc..)
34 bmw m4
35 nissan gtr

Want to buy a 991.2 gt3.. I have the cash. Could have bought a 19 6spd for 165k in chalk white.. just cant fathom paying 13% sales tax in ontario and eating 22k in sales tax.

I'm trying to convince my wife Calgary, Albert's might be a good move.. lol! 0% tax

I drive a beat up 2010 mazda 3 as a daily driver for myself. People think I'm dirt poor. Love it

I wanted a Evo X, since it's not as expensive and I could work on it , I never really liked M3s until I saw an alpine 2016 with a red interior I quickly fell in love with the car, my dad said I can get it and I said no it's to much money , I don't want to own a car that he would pay off, but long story short he got the car and just told me to be someone in life and to take good care of the car .
