Same, since I'm about to place my order for 275/295 with spacers and a drop.

i'm wondering if the dealer messed with something else? the minute i got in the car and fired up my M1 settings, i felt something was off. the sport + steering feels looser than the old comfort setting.

i'm having the HAS installed soon and realigned so we'll see if that fixes it?

wondering if the bmw dealer gave me the M0 specs but then realized that only would change the rears.

really annoyed at this point

What is the tire pressure set to? Over inflating the tire can add quite a bit to the overall diameter of the tire.

For example, if I inflate my tires to 36psi, I can make it out of my drive way without scraping. If I lower it to 32psi (which is what I prefer), I always scrape my mid pipe exhaust.

Also, over inflating the tire will make the steering feel "looser".

In my experience, the dealership has a tendency to over inflate tires because some customers complain of getting worse MPG when they inflate the tire to spec.

Same thing happen to me with 275/30/20 cont. sport extreme contact. You can't go too wide in the front with 20s. Btw my rim is 20x10 front.

I thought this was a proven setup for the ZCP.... Really wanted to go wider, but now it seems like I will be going with stock sizes unless someone else confirms otherwise.

What make of tire?
The tread width and other factors vary with maufacturer even when the 'size ' is the same...

I do not know who to credit it to, but some else posted that 26.3 in is the biggest diameter you can go, 275/30 comes out to 26.5, hence the rub.

Edit: Found the post below, look at #9 and #11, @anglo was the poster

possibly - just wondering why others put this same set up on and no complaints. maybe there's a difference in clearance between M3 and M4 models?

Since I really want a little extra rubber in the rear to get more traction, does it matter if we run 265/295?

Subscribed for more info on the F80>F82 wheel well clearance difference.

Two M3's in my family with 275/30-20 and 20x10 wheels squared, one with PSS and the other with PS4S... no rubbing. And PS4S are chunkier than PSS at same size.

Not sure about the the difference in the wheel wells between M3 and M4 but there is a couple things to consider. First is that the difference between 26.3 and 26.5 is only 2/10th of an inch so not a whole lot and you can see from the picture that he/she is barely rubbing on the fender liner. Now if we think about two different cars, although camber, caster, and ride height should be fairly close (and the position of the fender liner), it is totally possible that a slight difference in caster and ride height for example could eat up an extra tenth fairly quick.

Long story short you could likely place the same wheel/tire on one car with no rub and place it on another car and get a slight rub like we see here, hence the recommendation not to go over 26.3 in diameter in the front to be on the safe side.

well - i guess my question was there are multiple members here with these tires on the 666 20" wheels and apparently i'm the only one with rubbing issues. that's why i'm thinking something is wrong.

Are you running spacers? 275/30/20 PS4S in front is a tight fit - offset it key. If you are running spacers I'm 100% certain thats your issue.. if not.. I have no idea why you are rubbing..

no spacers or suspension mods yet. set cold tire pressure to 30 and still rubs. so annoyed since no one else seems to have this issue.

I also find this very odd as well
here is a thread where a guy fitted a 245/35 20" SC2
that has a OD of 26.8 no rubbing
http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1470766
post #5
again this is an M4 not sure if it's the f80 that has the issue.
another factor is that with a 245 it would prob be a bit stretched on the rim and that should help bring the overall OD down.

I currently have the 265/35/19 PS4S + 12 mm spacers on M763 and slammed down with KW HAS. They also rubbing the fender liner when turning the steering wheel to the max. It's irritating, so i chopped a piece of the fender liner. Problem solved.
