Is it just me, or do the new seats do not appear to have the leg extenders?
No leg extenders. Though it felt like the seats had a little extra length to support your legs when I was sitting in it.

Saw them both yesterday. IMO Silverstone is really nice, but as others have mentioned it's very understated. If you're not into calling much attention to yourself, it may be the perfect color. To me the car deserves something more unique...make mine Fire or Valenca Orange.

I was also pleasantly surprised by the interior; it's much nicer than that of the other F30s.

"Understated"
Yes, that's the word I was looking for to describe my feeling of...it's perfect!

Those ceramic brake calipers look like crap with those colors.

One should only order black or AY if they are going to with Ceramics…… hate to say it but they just don't work with remaining colors………maay be SO

I totally agree. That's why I want Austin Yellow, a color that is only available on a real M. Love it or hate it, you cant miss it. It's M specific and does NOT blend in!

When either the M3 or M4 is painted silver, white, black or gray, it will disappear in traffic. That's not to say they wont look good, it's that they will not stand out. Not everyone wants to stand out and I respect that, but best believe you will see me coming.

Silverstone loses the lines? Are you kidding me? It does the exact opposite and shows the lines better than any other color offered on the vehicle

Here a couple videos of Silverstone II M5 and M6 I found that could serve as reference of how SII looks under outdoor lighting:

Here are some more pictures:

Too bad the M3 is without the CF roof, since it would look better especially with such bright colors. But the SS II still looks good to me, I even think it should look better under "more natural" lighting conditions.

I'm loving the SSII here! With the CF roof it will be awesome.. I'd still get SO full leather too.

thanks for this

I agree, I saw the m3 in person last night in AY (which I hate personally) and the SS II is definitely a contender to me. I really love AW, but the SS II is nice. What it does tell me is that I will definitely be picking a silver or a white. The details of the car look great in these colors.

I do receive a lot of compliments for the colour of my E92(SSII).

I can't seem to decide about the wheel colour though. I did not like the black wheels in pictures but found them really nice in real life. Now seeing the SSII M3 with the silver wheels, I am back at preferring the silver ones .
I have a SSII E90 and have 220M(silver) for my summers and 219M(gun metal grey) for my winters. I have a hard time deciding which color I like more. I guess I have the best of both worlds 1/2 the year silver other 1/2 dark gray. It is going to be hard to decide which color to order on the F80.
