Does an R1 or R3 fit here?

Hi all

Looking to pick up a Uniden R3. I’d like to mount it high for stealth reasons (these MAY be illegal where I live).

Does anyone have one mounted/tucked up high by the centre mirror area on the pax or driver’s side (as per the pic)? I’d like the ability for a passenger to use the visor all the way down.

I made a mock-up using the actual dimensions of the unit, and it looks like it will just fit.

Advice welcomed!
