Reckless Driving ticket

Got caught up with another M on the turnpike in NJ last night and got a reckless driving ticket with a court date. Does anyone know how that works with all courts being closed? Also anyone have any advice how to drop a reckless driving ticket? Lol

NEVER EVEN GOT TO RUN!! Cop was in the cars and truck lane while we was in the cars only lane. He seen us cruising at 100 then slow down to 60 and watched the other car do a pull and blamed me lmfao. He never actually seen me do a pull but whatever we both got the same ticket

Haha ouch!!! They're really cracking down hard on speeding the last two weeks. Hope you get it resolved and best of luck.

Take it to court. There's a very, very, very small chance cop doesn't show and your ticket gets thrown out.

If the cop doesn’t show, it doesn’t get dismissed automatically. It’ll get rescheduled. Ask to see the prosecutor and ask for an unsafe driving charge. No points, a fine for that charge, and court costs. No points are key, obviously.

Mine was immediately dismissed by the judge. Waited 20 seconds, called the officer's name twice..."have a good day and drive smarter"

go in an talk to the prosecutor, plead it down to "unsafe operation of vehicle" $285 fine, non moving violation so nonpoints, you are allowed 2 of these within 5 years of each other. second ones pricier...this will work for you if you have a relatively cleab record...im not a lawyer by ANY means..but believe me, ive had plenty of traffic court experience with speed related incidents lol

In ny they want the money. If your record is clean they’ll knock it down to a fine. Not sure about Jersey. But either way get a lawyer

How did he catch both of you ?

Blocked off all lanes of traffic with his car signaled us to pull over. Trust me if I could have ran i would have but cant out run the radio on the turnpike. Lol
