2015 M4 vs 2016 Camaro SS
http://blog.caranddriver.com/2016-ch...ghts-revealed/
3,339lbs for a 4 banger is impressive.. Might be the best option to tuners but it should be interesting... I think it would be safe to say the V8 is probably in the 37xx w/Automatic. But still more than an M3/M4 either DCT or Man. However 223lbs-390lbs is awesome to cut... Wonder what the performance editions will bring in the future. V8 0-60 4 flat, 1/4mile 12.3 @ 116, 60-0 117ft 2016- V8 3,685lbs (M) V6 3,435lbs (A) V4 3,339lbs (A) More info/data is below in in the pics... ================================= =================== Thoughts? LT1 455HP 455 ft-lbs, 6speed M or 8speed A... Weight unknown but rumored to have lost 200 lbs plus Magnetic ride suspension on the SS. 2.0T- 275hp/290ft-lbs 3.6v6 335hp/286ft-lbs http://www.chevrolet.com/2016-camaro/ http://http://www.autoblog.com/2015/...veal-official/ http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...ro_first_look/ http://www.caranddriver.com/news/201...-and-info-news ================================================== ===== Drives http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...e-drive-review Last edited by DocWeatherington; 03-30-2016 at 08:14 PM.. |

Much better interior than I was expecting. They should put that in the ATS-V.
Should be a spectacular car to drive. Even the old SS 1LE beats the M4 around a track with the same HP and much more weight. Now even the base Camaro SS' will do it, for about half the price of the M4. I think I'd take this over the ATS-V. Last edited by CirrusSR22; 05-16-2015 at 05:18 PM.. |

Should be interesting I wonder how many people will skip the ATS-v over the SS. Granted two different cars built from the ground up with difference purposes.. But a loaded 2015 SS is 10s of thousands of dollars less.. never mind a ZL1.. 2015 is $44,045- 2SS w 1LE/RS Package and dual mode exhaust 6-speed M However GM probably is going to hold the performance back a bit.. Have to leave room for the special additions, never mind room for the C7 and ATS-v |

Camaro vs M4?? Really?? Camaro is hideous. Only a blind person would think a Camaro looks better than a BNW. Let's see all of the GM/Detroit/UAW trolls come out of the woodwork. Camaro..LMMFAO !! Disclaimer: My Opinion....

Pure performance.. Corvette Powertrain/ Suspension bits minus the E-diff.. 450hp...40k new... Same thought with the Mustang... and the future iterations them. An yeah I probably wouldn't buy one.. but GT350, ZL1 maybe JeffM-Houston I agree with you between this an the 2016 Mustang ...price per dollar the AMGs, Ms, RS even the ATS should have something to be concerned about.. Styling is subjective, but I don't mind having discussion about its performance capabilities. Since other people on the road/track will be driving them. With it's weight loss, smaller size, 455hp/455tq, new chassis...a $35k car could give the M4 a run for its money around a track. That in and of itself, is kinda cool. I agree, personally would much rather have a C7.

I actually think it is nice looking and the interior has been upgraded nicely over the previous car.
My neighbor has an older Camaro and we swapped cars one day (this is when I had my 335) and I actually felt clastrophobic in that thing. I realize it is a coupe thing, but the site lines are terrible and doesn't look like they did anything to do that. Thing was fast though. If you want to go fast for fairly cheap, it looks like this and the Mustang GT are for you. |

It's definitely not a "coupe" thing. I had an E92 335, not to mention an E46 M3, there are completely different than the Camaro. That thing feels like a coffin.
The last gen Mustang did also IMO. |

If it drives anything like the current 1LE, then it'll make you smile.
And on a white SS with some black-powdercoated rims, this will look cool. And it should make for an awesome little track car. Cheap repairs so you can hoonigan all you want. |
