Now, it's mostly Pinot Noir (mostly Central California Foxen, Loring etc) Paso Robles GSM and Rhone wines/blends (France Chateau Neuf du Pape, Gigondas, Cote Rotie and Hermitage), Italian (Brunello, Barolo). Spanish Rioja's and Ribera Del Duero. I do have a nice collection of Dunn Howell Mountain, Chimney Rock, La Jota & Silver Oak cabs. My palate has softened a lot and like more subtle wines now. Another great hobby. |

Could it be possible that the new Camaro has actually better build quality than the f8x? Unless BMW really upped their game with constant rattles and squeaks with a lot of cheap plastics, I find it hard to believe that any car would actually have worse build quality than a new 3 series BMW. Do they drive well? Sure. Build quality? Duh!

So latest guess is ~3600lb and 455hp?
Close enough to f8x to be interesting. Hopefully they steal some tech from the current z/28amd make a really crazy "track package" Love it when these cars challenge the m3/c63. Will make the g platform m3 even better for us. |

Funny how much people know about the new mustang when all that has been available are pictures... Makes for a good laugh.
As rallybull mentioned, I have a lot of rattles and shit in my X3 so as far as build quality goes, I don't see how people think BMW is the almighty maker of solid automobiles. Personally, I will def be cross shopping this car (the Z model) and a pre-owned M4 so I don't see where people think that this doesn't happen. My buddy cross shopped an e92 M3 with his ZL1 and ultimately decided on the ZL1. There are no rules for cross shopping vehicles. |

I'm in the market for a new toy. The M4 moved up, to the top of the list when i realized the lease rates for the Stingray are less than desirable. Now this new Camaro sparks my interest especially if the SS will perform like the outgoing SS 1LE.
Overall these are fun times for car shopping.

Interior does look nicer than I would expect....(though, would still wager that first hand it will be full of Detroit plastic instead of real materials....)
Still, the brand will forever be associated in my mind with things like this: ....great song ....but not a car I would ever own.

I doubt it will be.. The platform is shared with the ATS and I think the CTS.. Look at the different versions of the ATS.. I doubt the V8 SS is going to weigh less than 3800. Now the 4 hopefully should be pretty light cause the ATS is with the 4.. But performance normally equals weight. |

Motor Trend weighed 5th gen SS at 3,863 lbs. So, could be looking at mid 3,600 lbs. If they are telling the truth. Last edited by hellrotm; 05-22-2015 at 01:05 AM.. |

2015 V8 camaros weighed 3900#. 2015 Performance Pack GTs weigh over 3700#. Weights will just equalize between the cars. There is some easy weight to drop off a mustang, aftermarket pipe removes that 30# suitcase sized resonator. PP wheels are 33#, you can get inexpensive 19" wheels that weigh 21-22#. Easily 40# unsprung gone. Last edited by ForTehNguyen; 06-01-2015 at 07:23 PM.. |
