Need your opinion about extended warranty

Hello Guys,

I really need your opinion about how many years of extended warranty I should purchase by considering the most recommend year range vs price.

My GTS still eligible to the BMW extended warranty before this December. I just purchased the car with 72 km, almost a brand new. I m thinking to buy the extended warranty.

1 year will cost about 2500 dollars canadien, and 2 years will be 4000 something like that, and the price goes up by years etc…

I m wondering what’s the best year range I could take. Yeah, of course if I take the longest I can that would be perfect, but that will cost a fortune and by the end of the day, it will expired one day.

I’d like to take 2 years range starting from right now,

Do you guys have any opinion or any suggestions on this ?

That’s a huge save!

How long this problem occurred in your case? After 1,2,3 years?

Thanks!

I purchased an extended warranty/service contract from the guy on here that sells them through his BMW dealership in California. I went with an aftermarket policy that seems have good coverage. I've always bought them for my German cars and they have always saved me a ton of money in the long run. Even for stupid stuff like a window regulator on my CLS500 was a $2,500 bill from MB that my extended warranty paid for without hesitation.

HTH.

I say get the extended warranty just for the water block issue. It’s a known problem especially in low mileage cars so you should assume that you will need to do that repair at some point. At those prices, the warranty will pay for itself.

Saved me $7k the first week of owning the car for this exact reason.
