Super low miles, but was purchased from the dealership. Warranty should be running out soon.

Hey guys, I'm the lucky winner of the car in question. Hoping to take delivery soon, transport company is telling me roughly two weeks. I'm moving up from an F10 550i. I've been a long time lurker on this forum, trying to learn what I could about these cars.

Is there anything you guys recommend I do with this upon delivery? I was thinking of taking it to my local BMW dealership and having them do a once-over. According to the seller, the car has been sitting in air-conditioned storage for the last 3.5 years.

My car is on the trailer and tommorow comes to BMW service..car has 81 km and first thing is going for full service(oil,filters..),also there was some recall about carbon seats,which you guys dont get in US...

Buy an OBD-II reader for BMWs; do some runs to see if you get a "water-pressure loo low" error code- there is a TSB to replace the entire water injection block.

Do this before warranty runs out.

Other than that, get out there and get some track time; or you will never truly enjoy what this car is all about.

Does the warranty transfer to a new owner? I know the full warranty transferred with my 2012 F10, but I vaguely remember some issue with this when we purchased my wife's 2015 Z4. As if there was some change BMW had made between those years.

Thank you..yes i got 5 years extended warranty with 200.000 km,starting from June 2018 when car was sold to first owner.
