Text Compose Feature Gone After 4 Years?
I noticed I haven't been able to text anyone through the speech to text feature lately in my '17 F82. The reply option on my texts menu just isn't there, and when I use the voice command "Text <contact>", iDrive responds that this vehicle isn't equipped with this feature.
It's probably not a coincidence that I just passed my 4 year anniversary with the car. Do I really need to subscribe to something to be able to text from my car, or did I accidentally do something to remove the feature? |

Just noticed today my reply button disappeared for text messages as well. My RTTI also seems to not be working anymore. I did just pass my four year mark. For the OP did you end up subscribing with BMW? If so what did you go with?

No. It is an alternative to subscribing to speech to text from BMW connected services. If you have an iPhone and apple car play you can long press the voice button on the steering wheel and activate Siri to dictate and send your texts.
