OEM belt and 6 point harnesses install on Recaro Seats

Hi - i'm installing Recaro Pole Position's, VAC floor mounts, sub bar and 6 point harnesses into my F82 M4.

I would like to retain the OEM seatbelt.

Does anyone know of a bracket that can be used to mount the OEM OEM belt receptacle and harness lap belts?

I've seen the Macht Schnell - Hybrid Seatbelt/Harness Receptacle bracket. But in the pictures look like a single bolt hole on the bracket - not sure if this is used for both mountings and if so how?

Any help really appreciate

thanks in advance

Matt

The only company I'm aware of that has intelligently integrated both lap belt and 3 pt solutions https://www.bkauto.com/category_s/411.htm They were the solution to my race seat + 6 pt saga involving more components, manufacturers, and vendors than I care to recount

What FormulaMMM said. I have a review of the BK system in my signature

I have the MS mounts and recaro sliders in the basement. That garbage would simply not work. I replaced it all with OEM sliders + BK mounts and it actually works.

I spent a weekend battling the complete garbage I received from MS. I can't really get into it because 4 years later I may get a heart attack if I think about that situation too much.

I haven't been able to sell them either, why make someone else hate their lives?

For seat mounting there is BK which works and then a plethora of absolute shit on the market. BK must be a small company with no advertising for this question to even continue popping up.

Brilliant thanks very much!!

Just to check I would need one of these (per seat) https://www.bkauto.com/R_9283_for_La...s_p/r-9283.htm to mount to my Recaro Pole Position

Then bolt that onto a VAC base with a mechanical slider?

Or this https://www.bkauto.com/R_9292_Bottom...X_p/r-9292.htm if i want a fully eletric adjustment?

thanks again

Yes on one set per seat, but don't think you want the large size for a standard pole position.

SYT_Shadow you're running these? https://www.bkauto.com/R_9292_Bottom...X_p/r-9292.htm Can't recall.

I'd go ground up bk if possible.

OP, my setup and commentary detailed here fwiw https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...26&postcount=9. You'll probably end up with different, but might be able to pull something of value.

great thanks again and yes sorry i just picked the first example of the base.

Not sure if you have any experience or comments but i was also considering using one of the standard VAC lap mount brackets for the OEM belt receptacle then having my cage fabricator install some eyelets onto the downtube of the rear cage - might be too high for the lap belt to be safe though.

I'm not running those because those are for bottom mount seats and mine are side mounts. And I agree, I'd use the BK grounds up solution as well.

OP you can call BK and get their advice. I think I paired two different ones to center the seat a bit more than stock

I think the positioning of the 3 pt belt receptacle and lap mount hooks are both about as ideal as you'll get. And since they move appropriately as you adjust the seat setup.

I wouldn't want to fix the positioning of the lap belt eyelets before knowing where you'll have the seat.

I'm running manual sliders + BK seat hardware, and it's a fantastic setup. Lap/sub belts mounted to the seat mount are real nice, don't have to readjust the belts if I want to play around with seat position.

I have the seat-belt receptacle mounted as well, but it doesn't come inside the seat due to my buckets not supporting that, so it's not 100% ideal. I currently wear the lap/sub belt + the 3-point when driving on the street, figure the 3-point will gently let my head slam into the steering wheel/airbag and the lap/sub belts will keep my waist in place where the 3-point is unable to cross my waist due to the high side bolstering of my bucket. I drive the car so little on the street that it isn't a huge concern, and run the 6-point on the track with the belt chime disabled.

Yes, for ideal street 3 point safety you'd need a seat that accepts the buckle better, like the Cobra Nogaros or the ones BMW uses on the CSL/E92 GTS/F82 GTS (in Europe)
