Hey guys - I bought some carbon fiber tips but they ended up not fitting on my stock ZCP exhaust. I noticed there's a metal pin on the stock set-up that needs to be sawed off in order for a lot of the aftermarket tips available out there to fit properly.
I'm wondering if there are there any options out there that will fit a ZCP without needing to saw off the pins for proper installation? Thanks! |

If I recall, the OEM ZCP muffler tips are pressed on. I have watched a few YouTube videos, one user utilized a puller to "pull" the tips straight off, another a block of wood, and from the inside, placed the block on the back side of the tip, and gently used a mallet or hammer to tap off.

Some useful info here: https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1701591
When I test fit my ARM tips, I did not see anything on the OEM setup that needed to be cut off for proper fitment. My issue with the ARM tips (or any tips for that matter) is that if want them to be more flush with the back of the car like OEM, then you end up being able to really see the smaller diameter OEM pipe inside. For me, that was really distracting and I ended up leaving the ZCP tips on. If you are looking for tips that protrude, you won't have this problem with the aftermarket ones. |

I have the stealth black ARM 90MM TIPS. They can sit perpendicular (flush) to stock diffuser or more aggressive depending on taste. I have mine sitting flush with my aftermarket carbon diffuser. I would recommend them if you're in the market for a good quality set of exhaust tips without breaking the bank that also has good fitment.

Here my Tips. They are from Mode Concepts, you can buy online and they ship anywhere in the world. They slip over the original tips and you cant see the original tip inside as its shrouded by the larger slip on tips.

BMS used to sell large oem style 90mm exhaust tips. I have a pair and they look great!

I went with supreme power black tips. the fit and finish on them is perfect without doing anything but sliding them on. I trimmed the oem exhaust pipes a few inches as they stick out too far inside the tips

I did the supreme power ones as well and really like the fact that they are ceramic coated. My little one has bumped into them a couple of times helping with groceries and not so much as a red mark. Non ceramic coated ones would have left a nasty burn. I don't mind them sticking out a little due to having a more aggressive diffuser which balances them out nicely.

I would say it took about a half an hour. You have to hit the lip of the exhaust tip. A few were caked on
