Hey guys, just picked up AY 25,000 miles M4 2015 for my gf. All is well except the fact the car kind of flexes/floats on 80+ mph speed when changing lanes in a spirited fashion or accelerating hard.
Car has PPS on front and Hankook Ventus v12 something on rear. Rear tires are new, but I have already driven 1200 miles on them. Tried changing pressure for 40 psi on rears, doesn't really change anything much, still wiggles to much on the road. Could it be the tires? My previous M4 didn't have such an issue, it had PSS all around. Oh and one thing I forgot to mention. This car has standard non adaptive suspension, while my old one had adaptive. Hopefully this is not the reason for it float lol Thanks |

Combined result of: 1. Me being stupid and doing stupid things on the road 2. Cold Falken Azenis tires 3. Cold ceramic pads (Powerstop) 4. MDM codes to GTS version Lucky to be alive tbh |

I say cold is 49F and down, and 50-60F is bearable.

I think non adaptive suspension is very similar to adaptive sport setting. I'd suggest you lower your tire psi down to 32 psi and see how it feels. Possible that your 40 psi is making your tires too stiff and you feel more bouncy.

I run 32PSI cold pressure on my track tires when on the street, and 28PSI WARM only for digs. On track I target 32PSI hot.
Anything above 35-38 on street and you float on the middles, and have much less grip. Cold makes it worse. I'm on custom fit Signatures with Falken Azenis in 265/35/19 and 315/30/19.
