Looks like the C63 can run 0-100 km/h in 4.2 second; however the C63 S model is 0.1 second faster!

Expect those numbers to be underrated (similar to BMW M's underrated claims).

For instance, the W204 C63 is advertised as covering the 0-60 sprint in 4.4 seconds but Car & Driver, Motor Trend, and other publications have all registered multiple 3.8 and 3.9-second 0-60 runs.

Right! This is all the manufacturer claims. The real world numbers are slightly different!

Autocar says a 15kg weight savings, very disappointing when people were saying 90kg. Looks like an overestimate again just like Ford, BMW, and others, though this one isn't even half the claimed savings on curb weight.

Either way we will get official numbers tomorrow.

The more I look at the photos, the more I'm blown away by the interior. That steering wheel and those seats (both sets) are incredible.

Also thrilled with all of the wheel(s) options. Those 6-piston calipers up front are seriously massive.

Cannot wait to get behind the wheel of this thing. Tuners are already having a field day with the CLA45. Looking forward to what is in store for the M177 motor.

For example, my car has the same suspension as the 507 Edition. The primary difference between non-507 cars and 507 cars is an engine tune (507 Editions cars get 507 horsepower thanks to the tune and some forged internals borrowed from the SLS).

The 507 also gets composite rotors.

There are no other mechanical differences.
Not quite true. The 507 includes 19" wheels while in the US at least the largest wheels available on non-507s, even with the P31 package, were 18". Also, the 507 includes the Black Edition vented hood and potentially some improved air flow.

My wife has a 2102 C63 sedan with the P31 package and LSD. It is a very fun car. However, with 255s in the back (and very limited room for anything wider), you can break traction with an accidental sneeze and G-d help you if you mash the throttle in mid corner before you start straightening out (it's donut time even in full nanny mode).

While the LCI C63 may have improved ring times, it is not easy for the casual driver. The M4 is much easier to drive fast, even for us casual drivers.

In any case, I hope AMG puts real wheels and tires on the new C63. A 4,000 pound car with 500+ horsepower needs better than 255 Continental tires.

I consider the vented, BS-style hood and 19" wheels cosmetic differences (along with the blacked out trim pieces and "acceleration" decals on the rocker panels).

I was talking performance differences. As I stated previously, in terms of performance enhancements, the 507 received only a power bump, forged internals (for longevity purposes to warrant the factory tune), and composite rotors. You could also argue that the top speed limiter increase is a performance gain.

The suspension is identical to all other LCI C63s. The brake calipers are identical as well.

The new W205 C63 will come standard with 265s in the rear and 245s up front (W204 had 255 rears and 235 fronts standard).

We'll have a better idea regarding the W205's weight down the road but Jalopnik explained today that the non-S sedan would weigh closer to 3,615 lbs - you had to do some rounding up to get to 4k.

The E9X M3 was a car that was easy for casual drivers to drive fast. The relatively modest torque curve and high-revving motor made for a car in which the chassis outclassed the motor (to some extent).

Having driven the F80 and F82 several times now, I would say that it's not as easy to drive. The mountains of torque had the traction control intervening quite a bit, even in MDM.

4 matic and rear fender flares = perfection IMO. It's as if automakers deliberately leave rooms for improvements.

Interesting that the F8X took so much grief for the iPad screen and C63 has same thing.

Doesn't make it ok though.

On the plus side, the C-Class's screen is so much worse looking, that I now think BMW's looks elegant by comparison. this thing LITERALLY looks like the designers forgot all about needing a nav screen until about 10 min before they rolled the car out. I know, I know, it's intentionally and the kiddies dig it, but I'd rather have it a little more integrated looking.

I am sure it is a great car, but in my opinion, I think the console and dash are horrible. I think the F8X dash and console look much better.

The 2015 C63 AMG gets a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 engine similar to the one found in the new AMG GT. Rated at 503 hp and 516 lb-ft, the new engine is considerably stronger than the 6.2-liter normally aspirated V-8 from the previous-generation C63 AMG. Despite the boosted power output, the C63 AMG claims gas mileage of 28 mpg or better in European testing.

One notable absence is the lack of the any mention of 4Matic all-wheel drive, a feature that's become common to all AMG sedans in the U.S. of late. The C63 AMG may come in rear-drive form for the U.S., as well, the better to allow for the fun of tail-out action.

I like many things about the F8X platform. The interior is nice (I've driven both the F80 and F82 several times now) but I wasn't thrilled with the quality of the materials. Lots of hard plastics (which was also one of my biggest complaints about my F30 M Sport 335i).

Having sat in the new C-Class, the quality and feel of the materials are second to none.

We all have our opinions and I like the M4 better and have no problem with the quality of the materials in my full leather.

I am sure that the MB is a fantastic automobile.

At this level, all of the competitors are bringing fantastic cars to the table. It's all about personal preference I will say I'm still leaning toward an f8x.
