DSC Adaptation for Different Tire Setups
So this is something I never really got a clear answer or understanding of: does DSC calibrate/adjust itself for different tire setups? I've seen both yes and no answers on this forum with varying feedback. The impetus for my question is I'm looking at daily setups and due to the lack of in stock tires I've come to the point where I am considering running a square setup or a different stagger on the street (Either 265/275 or 275 all around). The issue is that obviously will mess with the DSC calibration since there will be more revolutions in the rear relative to the factory setup and may cause the DSC to assume the car is slipping and cut power. This is purely for a street setup, so DSC will be on when this setup is used.
So the question I ask is: does anyone know if the ECU calibrates/adapts DSC relative to the tire setup?

DSC compensates for different tire diameters within a small tolerance. There is a certain % difference that it can handle, and then the TC light will be a frequent occurrence. As an example on 19" my front diameter should be about 26" and my rear diameter 26.5".

I doubt anyone has run this combo because it’s a little odd, but I’m looking at possibly running 265/40r18 F and 275/40r18 R. Again this is a daily setup but it’ll be put on 10in rims, which is why I’m not going 255 in the front. I would ideally like to go 285/40r18, however they don’t really make those in All Season tires with a 40 profile. As for why I want the 40 profile - I want as much sidewall as possible since the roads out here are brutal. So I guess the question is would the 265/275 be within the DSC margin of error? It’s about half of the revolution difference (-9) vs stock (-17) Signature Wheel BMW would you happen to know the answer?

The 265/275 combo is 26.3/26.7" which should be good. The 285 at 27" is too much off from the 26.3" front, and TC might be a problem. Let's see what SigBMW says…
