It means you submitted your build and are waiting for an allocation. This is no guarantee that you will receive the car. V060 looks like order was created but hasn’t been submitted to Porsche as potential customer order. Next step would be V070 which says “Order demand released for order” Last edited by R N M; 05-15-2021 at 09:17 AM.. |

Believe Audi is about to apply a full court press on you high spec 992 Carrera and Carrera S buyers. Maybe grab some 992 GT3 hopefuls as well.
Intel for 2022 model year: Base RWD model is discontinued. Performance version available as RWD (562 bhp) or Quattro (602 bhp). So, RWD gets a +30 bhp boost over '21. 7-speed dual clutch. (This is the correct # of gears...) Mid-engine V10 revs to 8,700. RWD performance MSRP around 150k. Options that caught my eye: Sport exhaust, carbon fiber front sway, "racing shells" w/o backrest adjustment (probably require additional packages). Iron rotors still standard, 8 piston front, 4 rear. (Carbon ceramics are 6 piston front, 4 rear.) 19.3 gallon tank. Pretty ideal for road trips and pipeline shutdowns. Watched a review where someone was claiming nearly 30 mpg highway on the current RWD base, so probably 450+ mile range. Looks like a lot of performance and experience for $, especially these days. And a pretty easy long-term value bet, n/a R8 swan song.

Huracan has been outselling the R8 for several years now. There's deals to be had on R8s in DE and they can end up costing less than a C2S, even the 620PS Performance models.

The fact its an Audi is what turns me off.
Just not a fan of the brand but do love the R8. I don’t think the values on these cars will ever come close to GT3 as there isn’t the rabid enthusiast base that exists for 911 and GT3. |

I like their cars, but it is a bummer that their are no MTs and nearly universally AWD. They are very nice, but I think I'd get bored quick with one. Now a N/A RWD V10 might be different, even if an auto. |

Used 2018 R8 RWS, which I've always had half an eye on, list in the 130s. Pick up a '22 for <MSRP, not sure how far off you are from the eventual floor. It's a mid-engine, RWD, n/a V10 with 562 hp and a dual-clutch. Yeah, exactly. Introduce some traction uncertainty into the R8 platform and knock off 140+ lbs. from the Quattro version? That's interesting.

To bring this thread back on topic, I stumbled on these pictures on the G8X forum. Something is really off with the G82's overall front and rear proportions. The rear wheels look so puny relative to the front. And no, it's not just the staggered wheel diameters because we do not get this effect with the M4GTS and M4cs. When you stare at it long enough, it almost seems like the front and the rear of two different cars were photoshopped together. Reminds me of that old FWD add series BMW made. And the fake swan neck rear wing

For me, when it comes to cars, yeah generally you don't think of resale as most cars won't gain value but lets all be honest. When a car is over 150k, you will absolutely think about it. Very few people online has the ability to spend at that pace and not think about it. Think if the current R8s don't have any longevity/maintenance issues, they might retain some value but that we will have to see.

Think it's the huge mass over and behind the rear wheel that gives it the illusion of it being smaller than the front wheel. Having the rear quarter window come up this high, aggressively, only leaves even more bare metal, and with the rear overhang being now even longer, you get this as a result. Also in that photo, I've noticed how upwards the rear bumper goes as if they really were worried about rear approach angles. Have they mentioned any added aero benefits of the rear wing? I'd be surprised if it was functional at all - much like with the F8x one, I've got my doubts. I know there are manufacturers whose racecar-inspired limited editon models feature rear wings that secretly do not do anything because if they did, they'd have to go through costly re-engineering and testing of the whole car.

Saw my first G8X in the wild today near John Wayne and in all black it was not horrendous. The problem with the whole car being murdered out to hide the disaster of the body styling is that it looks like a murdered out Audi A4 at first glance. What a flop.

Another P-Car question. I apologize for another deviation from the G8X slamming. Lol! If I don't opt for gloss black or silver window trim, what is the OEM option?!? Rubber?
