iPhone 7/iOS 10 Bluetooth audio issues - anyone else?

Is anyone else having major BT audio issues with their new iPhone 7 or iOS 10?

All was working fine on iOS 10 on my 6s but on my 7 it constantly either doesn't play or just disconnects.

I'm lucky to get one song to play before it stops working. One time, I got it to work and then adjusting the volume caused it to freeze.

Sometimes it shows as still playing on the phone but the display on the car stops moving, sometimes the car and the phone stop moving.

Upgrading to iOS 10.0.1 doesn't seem to fix it unfortunately.

Did you update your 6s to iOS 10, or was it still running iOS 9?

I haven't had great luck with BT or USB on iOS 10 (never tried iOS 9).

My 6s had iOS 10 for a few days. Maybe I didn't use it enough in my car to see an issue

I tried out Bluetooth audio on my 7 with iOS 10 today. I did not experience any issues. Also, I use the AL Priority App via Bluetooth to control my laser jammers. No issues there either. I have a 3 hour drive ahead of me so I will give Bluetooth audio a whirl again to see if I encounter any of these issues.

thats pretty interesting, other folks on f30post are repotting similar issues, if you don't mind me asking when you get a chance can you post your bluetooth firmware versions under settings - software update - show current version

Just used Bluetooth audio again on a quick spin to the grocery store. No dropping out. Album art loaded. No issues skipping tracks. Nothing funky so far.

My iphone 7 is having major bluetooth issues. If it connects it will try and play a song before dropping the bluetooth connection. I had no issues with my iphone 6.

Thats correct. Interesting as it seems you are not on the latest and it is working fine for you.

Seems to be working a bit better today with my new iPhone 7... will keep an eye on things over the next few days.

weird. i have an iPhone 6S on iOS 10. No issues in my car (music or phone) whatsoever. All album art shows up. but then again, i've been having intermittent issues with my bluetooth earphones especially at 5-7ft distances.

This is making me rethink if i should upgrade to the iphone 7 or not... This issue is gonna drive me nuts!! Have u guys sorted out a fix yet?

I'm having the same issues with my iPhone 7/ios 10. It'll randomly disconnect while playing music off my phone and then won't connect again until you go through a few steps. REally annoying.

The only issue I have noticed so far is slow updates to the album art while using BT audio. Updates like 20 seconds into the next song. This is a new problem for me since updating to iOS 10.

Also noticed that when the bluetooth audio crashes, my other media interfaces crash as well. If I switch to my ipod connected via usb after the bluetooth drops, it doesn't work either.

Lesson learn folks, always wait alittle bit before upgrading software or new phone. There are always bugs/issues that needs to be fix.

iPhone 7 with 10.0.1

I have the same issue...Pandora drops off then I have to turn off BT and reconnect to get it going again.

I did connect the phone to an external bluetooth speaker and it seems to work fine.

I am having the exact same issues as you, iphone 7 +ios10. the bluetooth works fine with my home system. really annoyed with this issue. how did they screw something up that's supposed to be such a staple feature?

I don't normally use my iPhone for music (not anywhere) but the other day I did try Microsoft Groove while the iPhone (a new 7) was in the media adapter - was surprised that the album art and track/artist came through, and it all worked fine.

Might be an incorrect BT implementation in the car?

Same setup here but no probs at all. Works fine BT and connected. Tested with Apple Music, Hotmixradio App, Spotify App.
