anyone use this tune and drive on the track regularly? this has about the same power as dinan stage 3 and they require a larger intercooler to keep everything cool?

anyone reporting any heatsoak for bootmod3 with 91 or 93 octane tune?

Apparently people are tracking even with upgraded turbos, which is even more power. Never heard of overheating/heat soaking issues yet. It appears all the charge coolers, heat exchangers, and other fancy cooling products are more of a precaution measure.
My upgraded turbos are being installed as we speak which I intend to run with BM3 on the track. Can report around March when the season starts.

By almost every measure, even by hardcore BMWCCA members tracking their F8X's on desert tracks over 100F mid summer, there are no overheating issues with this platform. It's got perhaps the BEST heat management system built into a factory performance car we've seen. Unless you're professionally road racing the cars mid summer on 30-45mins long nonstop heats (or longer) in highly modified cars, any upgrades to the factory system is overkill.

I'm still trying to catch up on all of these threads. I'm on page 5 now. :/ Figured I know enough to ask some basic questions though.

I plan on running just plain ole Shell Nitro gas with an intake, charge pipe, downpipe and exhaust. Is there an OTS map available for my basic setup?
Is there a wifie mode? Specificially, can I put the car in comfort mode and basically run the stock tune and then put it into Sport or Sport+ to run the OTS tune. If not, would that mean that I would need the device and a second "vanilla" OTS tune that I can switch to on the fly. She doesn't ride with me often, but I don't want to have to bust out the laptop just to be able to take a trip somewhere.
Is there going to be a tuning shop somewhere near Charleston, SC that can pull and unlock my DME? I'd rather do a day trip somewhere than have to pull the DME myself and be stuck with no car for a few days.
Given my basic setup is there any point in getting a JB4?

Will you support 3rd party add-ons to your app? It'd be cool if I could develop some add-ons (like coding features not related to tuning) for the app.
Stupid question. Is it pronounced "Boot mode" or "Boot mod 3"? I'm assuming the former because l33t.

Anyone flash with the stage 2 and 6MT? I flashed mine last week and my car doesn't know what gear it's in anymore. The gear indicator on the dash disappeared and all the corresponding features. No more rev match and reverse camera engaging while switching gears.

I haven't heard anything. PTF, hopefully that was a one time bug and all future OTS maps of its kind were updated as I'm interested in getting your tuner and the OTS stage 2 93oct map as well..

I am too, don't want this to turn into another tuner not able to fix early bugs.
Getting mine done in the next couple of weeks as I am deciding if I want to invest in MPE or just dp and stage 2. I have DCT so let's see if someone else with DCT shares experience overall with tune.
