That's a high monthly payment. I wouldn't even consider that deal.

What is the best route for getting quotes from dealers? Do I just look at which dealers are near me and ask for the best price for the M4 build I'm considering?

If you go on autotrader most dealerships have the "accelerate deal" options. You can plug in some numbers and see what they say. For that car you should shoot for 10% off MSRP then add incentives after. Monthly should be around $800- 900 at most for that car.

Oh I thought the dealership had it in stock didn't know you are doing a build. I'm not sure either.

Yes, otherwise you will be stuck with a high monthly payment. That payment is close to M5 territory.

Invoice plus 500-1000 should be fair. Any rebates etc after that.

I had worked with a dealer to get 12% (or maybe 13%) off MSRP before rebate/incentives on a $93k 2019 M4, and monthly payment was ~$930. So OP should definitely stay away from that quote. Not even 3K off MSRP is a joke.

First of all, 15k mi/yr leases will never pencil out as great deals. In addition, your discount should be more than $2K, and this is before the rebate is applied. After all, this car is being phased out and replaced with an all new model next year. Lastly, you did not mention whether that payment includes sales tax or not, and if it does, what the tax rate is, although this is a terrible deal regardless.

Go look at the threads in this forum where people shared what they paid for similar spec cars recently to get an idea of what's doable.

Your best deal will be on an in stock unit, and you should definitely try to find a dealer that has the car and will deal.
