BMW F80 M3 / F82 M4 M Performance Exhaust Silencer Info - Finally Got It All!!!

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Hey guys,

I finally got all the info:

M Performance Exhaust Silencer System for M3 / M4 (F80 / 82 / 83).
The Original BMW M Performance exhaust system has been developed and tested in its entirety at BMW in collaboration with various technical departments and BMW M-GmbH. The development was subject to the highest BMW engineering requirements and state of the art manufacturing processes, superior to other aftermarket products.

The entire silencer system is ‘Made in Germany’.

Part Numbers:
18 30 2349 921 (one P/N for F80/82/83)
18 30 2358 110 (MPP carbon tailpipe finisher – 93mm) - 4 pcs required
18 30 2358 111 (MPP titanium tailpipe finisher – 80mm) - 4 pcs required

Photos:

The silencer system comprises a high-quality material mix, in which the pre-pipes are made from lightweight stainless steel and the rear silencer is made entirely from titanium.
– Lightweight: The silencer system is 32% (8 kg) lighter than the standard component.
– The silencer system has been developed using the latest CAD and FEM technology. This ensures an optimum fit and superlative manufacturing quality.

Availability: September 2014

Please note: The exhaust system from Akrapovic hasn’t been approved for the new M3(F80), M4(F82,F83). This means that we will not introduce the new M3 and M4 systems as well as any other new developments from Akrapovic.

Pricing is already out!

About $4600 for the exhaust and $300 per carbon tip.

$4,600 if you don't care about the carbon tips. That is expensive but for OEM, not that bad, IMO.

Actually, not really. There is a slip on version and an evolution. The Evolution likely replaces the secondary cats, so the slip on is likely equivalent of the M Performance and similarly priced.

MPE for that price is also full exhaust or equal to Akra Evo. Only difference are the ss mid pipes (without center resonator)

Nobody commented on the note - It seems to infer that this is made by BMW and NOT Akra? Or am I reading it wrong?

Look at the PDF - MPE doesn't look like it replaces the secondary cats, like the Evo does.

This is the full factory exhaust and what the Evolution replaces.

See my upload for the M Performance Exhaust, which is not a full system. You have to cut your factory exhaust and clamp this on behind the secondary cats, similar to the Akrapovic slip on.

Ok my bad thanks for clarifying. Saw the same pic and assumed this was a full exhaust
