I'd Love to confirm cold start is gone or sounds like it atleast.

I have MPE. I'm wondering how catless MPE with valve closed sounds at WOT. I'd like more rasp and with tatanium muffler it may sound good.

So also to confirm, with this you can be in sport plus mode and keep valves closed at all times? Might sound good

This morning I turned the car on (electric side only) foot off the brake. I clicked the valves open, clicked the valves closed then started the car and drove off. NO COLD start. it was super silent. So I was baffled. Went golfing car sat for 5 hours. I did the same exact procedure. Turned car on open valves, closed valves started the car and put it drive immediately and drove off car was quiet. It almost like it deleted the cold start. Now I could be way off so I'm going to try it again tomorrow and record it to see. But who knows it could be something that opening and closing the valves tricks the ECU, but I doubt it. Ill know more tomorrow and let you know

the one thing I can confirm though driving with valves closed and full system the car is just like stock. No drone nothing. My wife was in shock and so was I. It really is amazing how much sound changes in volume with valves closed/open

So you are a fan of those Er dps? How about any warranty issues? Are they cat less?

hmm I thought this would have done more haha!! Looks like I am still sticking with purchasing Awron, I want all the little extra features not looking for the valve feature since I have a remote for the iPE system.

I'm confused Is it a device that plugs into the OBD port or is it a wire tap?

Does the button on the stock retain its other OEM functions?

The valve control firmware was an additional charge ontop of the gauge. So its actually a lot more then that. Yes the gauge is amazing but for someone who just wants to open and close the valves and have a cell delete with simple plug and play this is perfect

yea you can drive in efficient with valves open or sport, sport + with valves closed. Or you can set it to auto and OEM std features work. You can do whatever combo you want

no doubt the gauge has a ton of features and def is a superior product but not everyone wants or needs all those features and also want to keep their vent. If you can swing the gauge def go for the gauge its freaking sweet! This is just a simple plug and play undetectable device that lets you open and control the valves as well as delete the cell

like I always say mod at your own risk. as far as the ER DPs they are awesome. They are a great price point and have no complaints about them so far.

Yea its been 70-80 degrees the past two weeks. I love it out here in Solvang. Rolling hills no big city tons of great roads.

Def this device will get rid of the cel and you can install the DPs and really release the beast

all the buttons work exactly the same. Instead of clicking you hold it in for a touch longer and that activates the open and close. The blinkers you see on the dash are only seen on the dash and are confirmation indicators to let you know what mode your in. The outside blinkers don't blink. The device from what I see get installed back up behind the port. the port remains untouched so you can still plug into your ECU anytime you want

the lights never flash. The flash is only seen on the cluster to confirm to user what mode they are in. I was concerned about that as well but I tested it and confirmed

I think this and a P3 might be the way to go. About $500 cheaper in the long run.

No vent removal might be worth the price of admission compared to the Awron alone! Nice mod - thanks for the write-up and vid!

All really good info, including re: the additional cost for valve control on the Awron. I was under the impression that firmware updates were provided free of charge, but doesn't sound like that's the case then. They must be considering it an addition vs. an update or something? A little kluge to charge another $500 on an already $1000 unit just to add the valve control. Awron appears very cool and useful but not quite $1500 worth. Definitely makes this unit an option. This plus P3 and you'd still be under $900

Thanks for the good review and info Golffrr.

+1. I was surprised to hear that the Awron totaled $1,500 to get the most of it.

Has Awron checked the latest inflation figures?

They're about 750.00$ too high for that thing.
