We seem to have had the same taste in cars.

How modified was your VR4? I loved that car at the time. All the tech and awd was fun. Heavy as a boat though on a choppy day.

I still miss that car every day! They're definitely unique (both good and bad ways) but man they were just so much fun to drive.

The mod list was fairly long but:

Hybrid 13T turbos
LS1 MAF/Translator
Greddy E-Manage blue
DSM 450cc injectors
ATR downpipe with gutted pre-cats
DSM side mount intercoolers
Hotwired Walbro 255 fuel pump
ACT Clutch/Flywheel
Quadco Steel output shaft

And then a whole host of other little things, plus I pretty much rebuilt/replaced everything bottom and top end on the engine, rebuilt the transfer case/rear diff, timing belt/tensioner/etc

I wish I had the money to do a full TD05 turbo set up but at the time I was in college and working full time (plus played soccer full-time) so I had to stick with the TD04 13Ts. Still a lot of fun though. A friend with a similar setup put down 515awhp/520awtq.

Yeah they were a lot of fun to drive. You did yours legit. I just gutted my cat and put a viral exhaust on it, then did a cheap mod that put a small valve with the turbos to let them spool just slightly higher than stock since they were at capacity pretty much in stock form. It sure sounded mean.

Here in Austin there was a guy with a green VR4 back in the late 90's that had just over 600 HP. That thing slithered like a snake at launch. I watched him race a 500hp"ish" Cyclone once. Ahh the good ol' days : )

There was also a white one in Austin that was ~640awhp owned by a guy named Adam (AdamVR4 if you were on 3Si....this was like 2005 time frame). I'm not sure if he still owns it as I kinda lost touch with him a while back but he helped me with some of the work on my VR4. We used to hang out a few times a year whenever I was in Austin (had him come to Houston once as well). His car was a beast

Excellent choice in cars. Especially the Z....although those were awful to work on from an engine/turbo standpoint

Jealous you found a SS2 2018 ZCP too. That's what I was on the hunt for but my Mineral White came along and it was too good to pass up.
