Good news for me! Looks like it will turn into a buyer's market very quickly, already 1300+ used M3s for sale on autotrader...with 2016 leases ending I'm sure this number will quickly jump to 2000+.

Anyone have an idea on what additional discounts I can get from BMW on a used/CPO M4 if I'm leasing a new G05 X5 at the same time?

Newbie here - I picked up a CPO 2015 Yas Marina Blue / Sonoma Beige M4 Convertible this last weekend.
Includes Executive Package, Driver Assistance Plus, Adaptive LED Lighting, Adaptive Suspension, Heated seats, steering wheel and air scarf, 31,000 miles.
Edmunds CPO value was $51050 before TTLR and I was able to negotiate it down to $48671, including the so called doc fee. On road price was $52K even.
It goes like stink and corners almost as well as my 2006 Lotus Elise. Much better brakes and the power is never ending - Haven't stopped grinning ear to ear since the time of pick up :-D :-D

yeah, I am trying to get in on the market too with some of the leased cars coming off terms, but I started watching F80 ZCP videos and now I am lusting after a Austin Yellow M3 which will of course be hard to find lol

There's currently a $500 loyalty discount if you're financing a '15-16 model CPO.

$500 is crumbs if I'm financing a car with them AND leasing another car for 3 years lol...going to shoot for a $5-7k discount on the used M.

You're hoping for a $5-7k discount for a used M? From where? I have never seen a BMW dealer discount that much on these cars, or even a CPO one. 2-3k maybe 4 if you caught a huge issue or it's been sitting on the lot for months, but never that much. Maybe it's different in your area, but around here, CPO F80/2s sell within days of posting.

I don't think it should be too difficult to get anywhere from 7-10% off...but I may be in a different boat. I'm placing an order for a G05 X5 at the same time so hopefully that gives me a littttttle more reason to ask for more.

I just want A clean well optioned 16 ZCP for <50k!!!! May have to still wait a few months for more ZCPs to come to market

Me too, but I think we're probably going to have to wait until at least the end of the year before they drop to those prices

BMW needs to really stop with the mass production of a great car... starts to seem not so great when you see anyone and everyone able to obtain one. Especially at such a drastic drop in cost that someone working full time at Walmart retail is considering buying one... SMH

They really need to limit ALL ///M cars in general

This sounds like a super elitist statement. and honestly I barely see any M3/M4s out there in Seattle. And to knock someone who works really hard to get what they want seems pretty messed up. So what if someone works retail and then saves up to get a sweet car...are you gonna hate on someone for that or hate on someone's ambition? you sound like someone that needs to be in an elite car club to obtain a M3

Why would BMW do something like that? They are in business to make money not push business to Mercedes and Audi (and I guess Tesla now). No one in their right mind would pay $200,000 if that's what it cost to buy one if production was significantly lower.

100000000% agree with Rick.The M3 is basically a beefed up 3 series. We are not talking about a super car here. If you want to be super elite then go buy that M3 velocity edition they only have 20.

i'm waiting for the same thing i've been seeing comp's in the mid 50's. i thought about getting '17 comp just for the carplay but those are still low 60's.

is carplay worth 5k?

CarPlay alone no. But the iDrive 5.0 was a big improvement and there are a few other differences.

Just went back to threads from 2014 seeing residuals at 55-57% after 3 years/36-45k miles. Seems like values have followed those predictions pretty well. If anything, maybe a bit better than expected.

where can i the comp differences from 16-->18? yeah carplay became available in iDrive 5.0. I have carplay in my other cars, so i prefer to have it rather then not at a decent cost. so what are the other differences ?
