Got tired of the M5 and decided it's much nicer over here lol! So picked up a clean 2015 M4 and got to work! With Dan the man and BPC's help i was able to get all the proper mods under the hood for a fun daily driver. And my Bro Sean over at Ronin Speed Industries got me set up on a set of beautiful BC forged Wheels!

Mods:
ASR Kratos KRAS55Bi turbos
Wagner Tuning Charge Cooler

MaxPSI crank hub fix
ACL Race extra clearance bearings
ARP rod bolts
Turner Motorsports SSK
Spec Clutch (can hold up to 1100whp)
BC Forged HCA222 20"
Paul Johnson tune

Mods already on the Car:
KW V3 with EDC
Some kind of backwards sideskirts
Vorsteiner rear diffuser
Catless DP's
AA mid pipe
MPE exhaust
SSR intakes
SSR charge pipes
BM3 tune

One of the main reasons i chose ASR Kratos is because i will daily drive this car and track it. I want it to be built to handle all the extremes. ASR Kratos has such a huge wealth of knowledge and they are the nicest people we've ever dealt with.

We appreciate the kind words and are glad our turbo system was chosen to be part of your build! We're also looking forward to the results now that you can finally put some power down with the new clutch kit. Love the wheels btw!

Spec sells different levels of holding power. Mine is built for 1100 whp but still has stock like engagement.

We actually were the first ones to install the Spec Clutch & Flywheel kit on our in house 6spd M3 as our stock clutch was toasted and simply couldn't support the power. We have logged over 10K miles of hard abuse on the dyno and the street at over 800whp with our KRAS55Bi's on Spec's Clutch kit. The drivability is very similar to stock and pedal feel is just a touch firmer. All we can say is that this clutch has taken a beating and still holds the power while drivability has remained the same since we first installed it. We would definitely recommend it!

Awesome setup congrats!! Wise choice on the kratos turbos. They look delicious.

Quick question, why did you change rod bearings and with an increase in oil clearance?

Thanks man. They are delightful and amazing to hear! I got new bearings because all the M cars I've owned have shown signs of rod bearing wear. So I decided to go ahead and knock them out so I wouldn't regret it later. Thankfully i did... These are the stock rod bearings after only 30k miles.

This could just be an isolated issue tho and the car was tuned before so you never know what really caused the wear.

Understood! Are the top bearings that look more beat up, from the top side or bottom side the rod?

I hear you on that. I wonder if N54/N55 guys faced similar rod bearing issues?

One thing I can say is to a degree rod bearing get beat up no matter what, I've built many engines and it depends on a few things but a lot of times the top surface or the coating will get worn out and it could stay like that for years to come and never once have an issue but, I definitely can't say that about e9x m3 rod bearings or e60 m5 many of those engines are literally a ticking time bomb.

Did you change the rod bolts or reuse the stock?

Again great build and congrats!
