New member of the M family!!
Just wanted to say hello to everyone! I am a GM at a dealership here in Columbus, OH. I just recently purchased a 2016 M4 after being promoted to GM. This is my first BMW and the M3/M4 have been my dream car for many years so it's exciting to be apart of the BMW M community. I've been in a 09 SS Turbo Cobalt (which I still own) so it's a huge step up in vehicle. Loving it so far! Ordered a OEM Carbon Fiber spoiler and front reflector deletes. What do you guys recommend for tires? Also what's a good tune for a DD? Any suggetions would be appreciated! Happy to be apart of the family!!

Your model year came with 19" tires, either Michelin Pilot Super Sports (AKA PSS) or Continental ContiSport 5P, or less commonly, 18" Michelin PSS.
The Michelin Pilot Sport 4S (AKA PS4S) is an excellent street tire replacement for the 19" tires. I did this with my 2016 M4, on my second set!

Congrats - new owner as well. The Michelin tires are great tires, but I've always felt that they have a ton of road noise (had them on a Focus RS and an Audi RS3). The Continental tire war recommended by the BMW Driving School instructor - said they lasted longer on track duty than the Michelin.
I've been wondering about the ExtremeContact DWS06 for my commute driving - it's a high treadwear all-season. |

All season tires in California? On an M car? Why would you compromise the car like that? No one who know anything about tires would put an all-season tire on an M car. If you're not driving in snow, there's absolutely reason to use all-season tires. If you do drive in the snow, get snow tires for the winter. Do a little research in the Tire subforum.

But summer performace tires in cold weather (45F and below)? Summer performance tires are not for all-year-round. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiret...jsp?techid=273 To OP: if you live where there is no snow, I would get two set: summer perf tires for summer and that Conti DSW06 for the winter. |

2016 with 31k miles, manual. Clean car fax one owner. I payed $39,950 which is below rough trade in value so I got a great deal!! Here is some pics! Love this color! I tinted the windows 20% all the way around a few days ago and front bumper reflector deletes. Also that's my 09 SS Cobalt Turbo next to it. Fun little car actually! It makes 358WHP. I'm keeping it for my daily. Let me know what you guys think! Thanks for the warm welcome BTW from everyone!
P.S. that is the service area of my dealership not my dealership inventory haha Last edited by FightinIRISH513; 11-12-2019 at 10:57 AM.. |
