When I see videos and they're driving around in the rain I almost immediately lose interest...

99.9% of the time no one is pushing their performance vehicle hard when it's wet. They might as well make a video driving on snow.

Totally agree. Its a shame all these journalists are located in the rainiest part of the WULD, or so it seems.

My god.
I really wished the F8X had a red option (not SO). Red looks good on the car.

Funny coincidence, I watched this video last night in anticipation of picking up my new car this morning, a 2018 M4 ZCP. He is a great reviewer/motoring journalist, I've viewed a lot of his content over the years and enjoy his perspective. He does tend to do reviews in inclement weather, not a bad thing IMHO, it gives you a sense of how the car performs in those conditions - important to me as I have a long and severe winter where I live.

Huh, seems like both Bovingdon and Catchpole have run away from Drivetribe. The former now being at Motor Trend.

Also, sick spec on that M4. Reminds of the 90's.

Yeah I was wondering why this guy is in this video. He was in EVO, right?

Yeah, a lot of the original staff left EVO, which is really a shame. I've been a subscriber for many years but with Bovingdon, Catchpole, Prosser, Trott, etc. leaving it isn't the same anymore.

Henry is a very good writer and journalist and I hold his opinion in very high regard.

Same with me. I cancelled my subscription when I couldnt have been bothered with their app.
With all their key staff gone, especially the old guy Metcalfe - well it is worse than I thought..

I bought two of their original UK magazines this year and was severely disappointed. It used to be much better a few years ago; now it's all adverts and not-so exciting articles.

An unfortunate circumstance of the current YouTube trend in the auto review space. Auto journalism is slowly being pushed out of the way by the likes of YouTube idols such as Shmee150, SeenThruGlass, etc who are neither journalists nor as capable a driver as Metcalfe or the others. I don't think these reviewers pretend to be those things but they are a representation of what some of the market demographics is demanding. It seems to lean more towards an entertaining/reality TV type review rather than a journalistic approach with a higher caliber production value. I like both styles and pick and choose what I want to watch, and that's what I like about this platform.

I've done the 2 day Advanced M school at VIR, 1st day was in rain and we still drove the cars hard. Lots of technology, as the 24 hr Nuremberg sometimes has rain.

I like SO (and AY. Still do not like YMB).

I just wish they offered a true red, that's all.

Orange (SO) is great for some, but hardly a replacement for a true Red.
