What are the residuals on a 2018 F80/82?

Not sure if F80 allocations are all gone yet, but because residuals are so shit on the F90, I may just jump back in an F80 again if it's not too late. What are 2018 residuals for those of you who are leasing right now?

What happened to the F90 residuals? Did they really drop by 10 points? That's insane

Dude. That's why I'm on here asking. 50% is outrageous and seems to be consistent in everything I'm hearing.

Same thing here in Europa (Switzerland). I dont know why... but F90s are near 2KUSD per month with a 20% first deposit lol (for 10k miles per year for 48 months).

This is what happened with the F80s last year. The 2018 residuals are still good but the 2019s are bad. They are trying to love the 18s still on lots (dealers here have like 3-5 each).

Last year the residual were like 6points less on an 18 than a 17 until about September.

Wow, it's unfortunate that is happening. May cause me to go to the dark side.

I mean it makes business sense. Move old inventory with incentives. No need to give killer deals on the new ones until more hit lots in September. Just wait two or three more months and they should climb back up.

True. But if even if you know you cannot lock in the rates until 60 days out (or 90 on the west coast). Shit could change drastically in the 4-5 months. Plus no 19 M3s, so will have to go M4 or other.

I know. That's why I was looking at F90s but at 50% residual it's got me thinking...

f80 residuals are quite unattractive at the moment as well, which makes sense in a way since the f80 is out of production basically, thus the depreciation curve will be steep from here on out. The other issue is the base MF, which is atrocious. Not sure what the strategy is but something tells me they'll have a hard time moving high priced inventory at these rates. The best way to go currently is to finance at 2.25% for 60 mo to take advantage of the $3K BMWFS incentive, IMHO.

I looked into that rate too, unfortunately it's only available in certain markets.

well either way ... you can make the minimum amount of payments to BMW FS and refinance into a lower rate later. rates in the 2-3% range are still readily available from credit unions and such. still a better deal than a lease at these rates IMO.
