Only one way to really find out whats going on. Are you tuned? Can you datalog? I wonder if its getting maf interference via turbulent air flow and pulling timing or something?
Was there a major weather change (like going from 80 to 100* ambient) or similar weather? |

I doubt a momentary 1-5 torque loss like that would be detectable on a butt dyno. Nor can I report feeling the 10 hp gain at the upper end. I think the bottom line is that a carbon delete + BMC is a perfectly good OEM alternative if you are stock, and the slightly better flow is helpful when you are tuned. But either way, it doesn’t make much difference.
