Center A/C Vent Trim... Do I have to order CF piece!?!

Looks like a bubbling or a deterioration of the "clearcoat" on the outer trim of the Center A/C Vent.

I'm hoping I don't need to buy the whole Carbon Fiber piece. Hell I may just disassemble and have it repainted to gloss black.

I've been looking for cheap F30 center trim pieces but the less premium ones do not have trim ring around the A/C Vent.

It does. Seems trivial though. You think they will cover it?

Depends. Did you have a clip-on air freshener in that spot?

Nope. Never. I guess I'll ask. I figure these morons will deny it and then hit me with the old "diagnostic fee".

I would expect that to be covered assuming you didn't do anything to provoke it, and they will know if you did. I'd also be pretty surprised, not to mention disappointed, that they would charge you just look at it. I'd definitely bring it in.

+1. If you didn't do it, they will cover it. They might even cover it if you did do it.

I just made the appointment. An assistant called me after booking my online appointment to confirm what issues I had. Hopefully they cover it. My driver bolster is beat to hell too.
Years ago I remember a dealer would not cover anything under warranty because my car was in an accident and it had an intake competition wheels that weren't original on the car... bitches.

What reason did they give you refusing to cover the center AC trim?

"The interior has been cleaned with chemicals"... facepalm. The Carbon would have probably been compromised. Its whatever I guess.
