I think it's a color thing...

The coupe looks good in Austin Yellow with black rims and CCB

But so far the sedan has looked better in every other color to include Mineral Grey, Sakhir Orange and Mineral White

So keep your E9X, get an F80 and an M2 when it comes out hopefully the M2 will come in VO

Yes, the M3 is still the king.
I've aleays thought of the M3 sedan as "the fifth wheel".
But with the F3* body...
The M3 is the obvious choice next to the coupe (M4).
Now, how about a M3 grand coupe?

I was just going to post the same thing.

The sedan looks so much better than the coupe. Have no idea why BMW made the coupe longer than the sedan, when the coupe should be shorter, stockier & on point (upright).

To me, BMW tried to make the M4 seem elegant, instead of on-point & meaning business. Having both profiles pics up on my screen at once, the M4 seems almost cute, or pretty, or designed for a girl.

The Sedan looks tough & rough and means business. I wish the M4 looked as manly as the M3.

Tough decision for sure but I'm leaning toward the M3 for my next car. Can't wait to see what kinds of Performance parts BMW will release for these cars. I'm sure they will set off the aggressive meter even more!

That's one of the reasons why the rear looks so "fat" (but not in a good way). I definitely prefer the way it looks on this render, the proportions are simply far better:

If the M4 would look like this, it probably would be a no-brainer for me.

Yep, these pics just confirm what I already suspected. This mineral white example is sick!

Sometimes these reveals make my jaw drop. Sometimes i think meh.

It would have to be choice of color. Something excl to the m3/4. Anything blue or boring just looks like a f3x 335i.

Anyone else feel this way?

Been thinking this ever since the F82 Concept was unveiled. The lines (especially the wheel arches) of the F80 are much more stretched, taut, and athletic. It looks they're barely keeping the wheels in check. The F82's lines are a bit sloppier, and the rear end looks bulbous, almost fat. To me, it looks like a sloppier design, and one that only exacerbates the problem that the E92 and the F82 have of looking like they're proportionally too long at the back.

Talking M3 for practicality...

Both M3 and M4 platforms are equally awesome and they each cater different needs. If I had to choose between the coupe and the sedan, having a 3yr old son and a 1yr old daughter, I'd go with the M3 simply because of the practicality side. Hell, it'd be perfect if BMW makes another M3 platform based on the stationwagon
